I never claimed anyone was right. My point is, if we’re going to celebrate Halloween (assuming we even are), I’d at least like to understand its origins. Is it just for the sake of following a trend? Is this actually a tradition like Badanjak or Christmas? All I'm saying is that this holiday doesn't really resonate with our culture. But hey, if people want to participate, that's their business. At the end of the day, it's a personal choice.

I recently came across an article about how some Danish caricaturists decided to draw John Paul II. Honestly, that Scandinavian sense of humor—if you can even call it that—is getting out of hand, targeting one of the most positive figures of the 20th century. I’d venture to guess (in my humble opinion) that they did this specifically to pacify Muslims following the previous controversies surrounding Muhammad. It seems they felt it wouldn't be fair to target only Muhammad, so now they’re trying to keep the peace by taking aim at Catholics too. Shameful.

Unfortunately, people try to commercialize everything these days, but Christmas remains a time to celebrate something special. On the other hand, Halloween is just garbage that only became "trendy" in the 20th century.
Even though Halloween has already passed, I feel the need to bring this up. This is primarily directed at Catholics who truly value their faith. In the US, this overly commercialized holiday is steadily gaining more and more traction. First off, it has absolutely nothing to do with our faith; it’s essentially a Protestant-American invention. Even the name itself stems from "holy evening," based on the belief that the dead return to this world before All Saints' Day, marking the night preceding it. Even here in America, the religious significance has largely vanished. If you actually care about your faith, I suggest staying away from this commercial nonsense.
It’s honestly a bit concerning to see that 50% of those surveyed reported both drinking and smoking.😲 👎 Then we act surprised when lung cancer strikes or liver issues arise. Don't get me wrong, I don't have an issue with having a drink after Sunday lunch...🤣 But everything should be done in moderation.
