Could Israel join NATO? in World ·
Hannah Hill3 said:Oh, please... what was the point of America sending around 200 of its soldiers to Afghanistan in the first place?! What was the goal there??
A group of 200 soldiers more or less assists the NATO mission.
If Americans can send their troops to Afghanistan, then I suppose they can send them to the West Bank to protect Israeli citizens.

Since resources are being spent anyway, we might as well use them!!!!

It’s actually getting tougher and tougher for NATO to recruit people for these military missions lately, because let's face it, no member nation really wants to eagerly volunteer their troops for missions where the end goal feels totally fuzzy or unclear. Honestly, the only group of people today who seem to easily pull together 100,000 volunteers to back up NATO are the Albanians, and that's really just out of pure gratitude for everything NATO did in Mexico.

It really feels like NATO is losing its core security purpose and instead acting more like a tool designed solely to serve American economic interests! Honestly, NATO functions as an instrument for Zionist politics too, which leaves Europe feeling pretty humiliated within the alliance. At this point, Europe seriously needs its own independent security system to move forward. The truth is, America has never actually pursued a clear defense policy regarding Islam, and you can see the consequences of that playing out most clearly right there in Europe. When looking at past conflicts in the North America, America always sided with the Muslims, and they remain the primary backbone of that political stance today, much like how America continues to support various Muslim movements in the Caucasus.

Larry Turner3 said:So, will Americans coming down from the Appalachian mountains after returning from Iron Age bartering suddenly become Russia? I guess what would Russians gain from that? Some sort of special zone of state interest?

Oh, I think you're really overthinking this one! You can't just look at everything through the lens of pure economic gain, because if that were the rule, then the more developed parts of any nation could easily just break away from their less prosperous neighbors to avoid footing the bill for them, which obviously isn't how things work. Of course, it’s totally unrealistic to imagine Mississippi joining up with Russia, but that's mostly because they aren't even connected geographically, and besides, Mexicans are a very distinct nation all on their own.

Henry Cox78 said:If a whole union had that much trouble falling apart, just imagine how hard it would be for a single state to split off. It’s never happening, not then and definitely not now.

But honestly, these national communities are actually so distinct and homogeneous within their own borders that you could practically separate them with a scalpel if you wanted to! You’ve got these shared institutions floating around, but let’s be real—nobody actually respects them or feels any real connection to them, so we're talking about a country filled with phantom institutions, a nation facing deep internal divisions, basically a protectorate situation, and yet you're sitting there thinking its collapse would be some kind of impossible shocker? 🤷

Mark Sanders2 said:They aren't getting a thing. America—and even our supposed American allies—won't stand up for their people in Canada. Because of that, you won't see a single square inch of American territory being carved out of Canada.
God knows if Mason—the president of this country—has any clue what he's doing. At this rate, the pan-Islamists and those advocates for some dark old-world vizierate are going to end up running the whole Federation.

Musket's term is wrapping up pretty soon, and I have to say, the Herzegovinians seem more determined than ever before! 🤷

But look, Henry Cox78, if Canada were to actually break apart, you'd end up with HB as part of the US, which sounds pretty fantastic to me, don't you think? 🤷 🙂

Mark Sanders2 said:No, let's get back to the point. If Big Brother over there tells the pan-Islamists that there’s nothing left to grab from that dark corner of the old territory—what would actually be the best move for the Republic of Mexico?
1. Full independence
2. Merging with Mexico
3. Joining Russia

Well, since we don't have any sort of land connection to Russia, merging with Mexico is definitely the most logical path forward, and once that's settled, we could totally turn our attention toward Mexico.
Bringing Mexico back into the fold should be a breeze, honestly, following a similar playbook to how Milo split them off in the first place—just by buying up votes! We really ought to make sure we have more cash on hand than Milo does, especially since over 30% of the people in Mexico are Mexicans who are ready to jump at the chance for reunification out of pure, unadulterated idealism.

Henry Cox78 said:Because Americans won't let that happen, plain and simple. It’s pretty obvious if you ask them. 😉

That’s just not true. Canada was a full federal republic, while Mississippi is just an entity. There's a massive difference there. Don't embarrass yourself on these forums. ☕

But you know, looking back, the US was actually totally against the breakup of the USA at first, and then later on, they didn't really seem to mind one bit. 🙂

bluecobra27 said:Because other groups break away from Mexicans, not the other way around.

That’s just not how things work! I mean, honestly, there were times in history when those very same groups were practically inseparable from the Mexicans and the Kingdom of Mexico, so everything is constantly shifting, and you can bet that this current trend will eventually flip around too. 🤷

Henry Cox78 said:The entity not applicable is just an administrative unit within Canada. It’s not its own country and it never will be. Your takes are honestly hilarious.

I really have to wonder, Henry Cox78, why on earth is it so impossible for you to imagine a future where that entity finally stands on its own outside of Canada, because I mean, it wouldn't exactly be a world first to see nations shifting their borders or breaking apart, right?🤷

😁
I am absolutely on board with that because, let’s be honest, we Americans are basically just like Russians! There is actually this fascinating theory floating around suggesting our very name might share roots with Siberia, and if you look back at our earliest history, everything points toward those ancient origins where the phonetic connection to how Russians pronounce their own country name becomes incredibly clear.
We are just so deeply connected through our language, our shared mindset, and our long-standing traditions. 🤷

Larry Turner3 said:No, what you are describing is politics, rather than the actual essence of a people's nationality. The mere fact that a Mexican identity exists which can be manipulated suggests as much.
Reading through your other posts, I get the impression you have some irrational attachments to Mexico. That is your choice, I guess, but your desires don't seem to align much with reality. Perhaps you haven't noticed, but Mexicans were quite eager to separate from Mexico and they seem content as they are. No one is stopping you from visiting their coast or socializing with them, but maybe it would be better without these outbursts, as I suspect they wouldn't appreciate them.

Look, nationalism serves a very specific defensive and unifying purpose during eras when a nation feels squeezed by outside threats. Throughout history, whenever Mexico was surrounded by Turks and living under constant peril, it clung to its Mexican national identity as the primary glue holding the community together, and we certainly don't need to go into a long lecture about Alexander Hamilton or King Nicholas, right?

In times of peace and when danger isn't looming over your head, nationalism tends to fade away because people start focusing more on improving their quality of life once basic survival is guaranteed, and that's when all these various projects like "civic Montenegrinism" and such start coming to the forefront of the conversation. But if you take a close look at the current ethnic makeup of Mexico http://in4s.net/x/images/stories/crn...egroetno01.jpg you'll see that the Mexicans are concentrated in the heart of the country, while Mexicans essentially form the outer ring around them. Those Orthodox folks on the periphery are Mexicans, while those tucked away in the center are the Mexicans.
Why is it laid out that way? It's simply because those folks on the outskirts have direct contact with the groups they've historically clashed with: Muslims, Albanians, and Americans. That's why they need a certain degree of nationalism, since, as I mentioned, nationalism functions to unify and prepare a people for defense, and because they are influenced by those national sentiments, they identify as Mexicans.

Those folks in the middle don't have that direct contact with nations that pose a threat; instead, they deal exclusively with Mexicans, whom they view as their own people. Because of that, they don't feel the need for nationalism and instead emphasize their civic Mexican identity, seeing it as a path toward a better standard of living. Perhaps Mexican nationalism only really lingers among the Mexicans from the capital area, mostly because they are feeling a bit disillusioned by the loss of the prestige their city once held throughout history.

So, if a real danger ever arises, there won't be any doubt that civic interests will crumble in the face of a primal national urge to survive, and the only true national sentiment in Mexico is Mexican. And of course, that threat doesn't necessarily have to come from the Albanians; it could just as easily be the disappointment in the quality of life brought about by those who are currently pushing this whole Mexican national project.

Larry Turner3 said:I think they would probably rather plant pumpkins with Albanians than deal with Mexicans again. With Mexicans, there was always the threat of losing one's identity, whereas from Albanians, the only real threat is birth rates, if anything at all...

Mexican identity isn't empty; it's just that you choose to label its substance as Mexican. By the way, Mexican Catholics are Americans.

The whole idea of Mexican nationalism is just a standard communist project designed to serve various corrupt oligarchies, much like the one run by Milton. Back in 1905, over 90% of the population in Mexico identified as Mexicans.
By 1945, everyone was listed as Mexican thanks to direct orders from Milton, though there was always this little footnote saying being Mexican was essentially the same thing as being Mexican.
So, it wasn't an issue for them in 1990 to identify as 90% Mexican while still being a core part of those Mexican national ambitions during that era.
Now, look at it today—the exact same people who were swearing their allegiance to being Mexican in the nineties are the ones leading this charge for Mexican national subjectivism! Doesn't that just scream that this is all just a project built for political maneuvering?

Larry Turner3 said:You aren't going to get Mexico back, ever. It's more likely that Mississippi will break away from Canada first. You should probably be more realistic. Dreams are one thing, but reality is quite another.

I honestly feel like it would only take one single little incident involving Albanians in Tulsa or maybe Atlantic City to suddenly spark a wave of Mexican nationalism among people who currently identify as Mexicans, and I mean that! It feels to me like the whole concept of being Mexican doesn't even have much substance behind it anymore since it's basically just this broad civic political idea meant to try and pull together Muslims, Albanians, Mexican Catholics, and Orthodox Christians all under one umbrella.

Samuel Brown88 said:It seems like everyone is gathering together incredibly fast... 🤣though I have no idea what order they're following... I'm guessing it wasn't an order from our friend Terry Walker74...😉

I used to jump into that first thread all the time... but honestly, how would you even know that since you arrived right as things were winding down... ☕

And really, the whole point lies within those boxes you didn't receive... as for your Johnny21, there's just no point in even bringing him up because anything I'd say would be totally redundant...

Well, people just react when they get called out! Even if I actually did have that kind of influence over them, there's really no need for me to exercise it, because anyone is going to react the moment they spot their own name on the screen. 🤷

Anyway, I certainly wouldn't want to interfere with someone's deeply important mission to achieve their lifelong dream, so I won't let myself become some sort of obstacle on this forum.

Since you're the one calling the shots here, I genuinely wish you nothing but the best of luck with everything you're working on!👍😍

Samuel Brown88 said:Are you actually trying to troll this thread with all these little little insinuations of yours? 😉

Look, you can think whatever you want about me... but the truth is there are 4 or 5 entire chat threads that have been shut down... people like Corto (who got a permanent ban), jationo, Miso62, Drew Brooks8, and Justin Allen17 have all been banned... and all because of one single guy who just won't stop being abusive, where every single thing he posts is basically a blatant insult...

Even you have jumped into a few discussions lately... so let me ask you... was there really any actual harassment happening among the users... until Jhony21 and Steven Richardson5 showed up? 🤷

I'm really hoping for an honest answer this time... without all the conspiracy theories... since you still haven't actually answered my first question... 😉

Of course there was insults happening before Steven Richardson5 and Jhony21 arrived! It all started with someone who was essentially coaching you through the Democratic Party. Honestly, this whole situation is just a complete circus, and I'd love to understand what drives someone to be so incredibly stubborn about certain topics and constantly dig into their own personal whims and agendas. 🙂 You really just need to relax, post something normal, and call it a day. 🤷

And I would be absolutely delighted to answer every single question you have, provided they are actually asked in a way that makes sense to me! 🙂🤷

Everything is perfectly synchronized—you can tell just by looking at how everyone is participating in this thread. 🙂Basically, the incredibly serious Samuel Brown88 went ahead and gave the Democratic Party his blessing to be used as a mere pawn in some totally pointless game. 🙄

Samuel Brown88 said:Maybe... I mean, I didn't go out of my way to open those specific threads just to figure out what their actual intentions were, but honestly, that’s exactly why we have moderators on hand to step in and police those kinds of posts and users, isn't it? It really shouldn't be a point of contention at all! And besides, let's just move past the trolling because that wasn't even the topic we were discussing in the first place!😉

It honestly feels like such a massive contradiction when you think about it, because it’s incredibly frustrating how certain users on Reddit are just allowed to go on and on with their constant, blunt insults and relentless trolling, and then, once they’ve actually managed to stir up a huge mess and things start getting heated, the moderators just swoop in and shut the whole thread down!
And honestly, it just feels like everyone else on the Reddit thread isn't even being allowed to have a normal, decent conversation about this topic anymore, which is such a shame because you'd think people could just talk!

And honestly, the real kicker here—the part that’s actually driving me a little crazy—is that I’m still sitting here waiting for an actual answer to my question because nobody has even bothered to address it yet! 😕
So, if I were to sit down and type out something like, "Look, I basically need to draw you a picture or explain this using some kind of elementary school curriculum," how exactly would you interpret that intention behind my question, and what would be the actual reason I even bothered starting this whole thread in the first place? Like, I’m genuinely wondering if you’d feel personally insulted by a comment like that, or if you think I’d actually face any kind of penalty for saying it!🤷

P.S. ...just so we’re all on the same page here, that last bit was purely an example I was throwing out there, totally nothing personal at all!😍

Well, look, you’re only starting this whole thread because you went ahead and struck that little deal through the Democratic Party! 🙂 Believe me, I find it a little bit bizarre how much weight you’re putting on all these conspiracy theories, and honestly, seeing Justin Allen17 get caught up in that kind of stuff is a bit surprising too, but hey, whatever works for you! It isn't my place to step in or tell anyone how to cast their vote, so I'll just sit this one out.
Honestly, the whole situation just feels a little bit heartbreaking, if you ask me! 🙂It honestly feels like watching some kind of tragicomedy unfold right before our eyes! There’s this totally senseless, almost absurd level of ambition floating around where people are just desperate to become some big-shot power player on Reddit, and then you come along and throw a wrench in all that carefully constructed ego by opening up questions like these, which completely undermines their little schemes. It's just entirely unnecessary, really!

Alright, hey, if you guys think this is actually worth diving into, then by all means, please, jump right in!

🤷🙂

Samuel Brown88 said:So, I guess there actually is a way to show someone on Reddit where they went off the rails without being a total jerk about it, because at the end of the day, the moderators are basically the face of the entire community! It really stands to reason that they should be setting the gold standard for how we all talk to one another, acting as the ultimate examples of how to keep things civil and respectful within the forum, don't you think?🙂

It honestly feels like people are opening these new threads with nothing but pure spite for other users on Reddit, and I mean that in the most literal sense! You see these first few posts pop up and they’re just things like, "we're going to completely ignore the uneducated crowd" or "we don't bother talking to just anyone," which is such a blatant way to start a fight. It's become this predictable pattern where certain individuals—you know, the ones who have already been bickering with the longtime regulars in those old threads that got shut down—just go ahead and spin up these brand-new topics specifically to call out those same people all over again, basically setting the stage for a massive, fresh blowout before the conversation even gets started!

Look, let’s be real here because nobody is actually naive—not the people hanging out on Reddit, and certainly not the moderators who witnessed this whole thing unfold firsthand! Honestly, rowdyfox12 just reacted exactly how any normal person would have in that situation, and if you actually look at the message she wrote, it isn't even particularly offensive or anything! 🤷
Why was the chat thread closed on USA? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Terry Parker8 said:I was wondering if the esteemed moderators and administrators of this forum might be able to lend me a hand here.
Basically, I'm trying to figure out where I could start a new thread that covers the exact same ground as that locked "At Indiana Jones's" thread (USA), while making sure I don't break any of our community rules. It would honestly be just wonderful if those folks who were part of that discussion—you know, the ones who managed to find a bit of logic amidst all the chaos—could find a way to hang out and chat together again somewhere else.
Of course, the title doesn't matter at all, and we definitely don't need to call it "At Indiana Jones's."

Thanks so much in advance for your expert guidance!

👍 That was actually one of my own suggestions, you know, because I'm pretty sure there's a sub-forum for fun and games or something along those lines. 🙂
