Jesus on healing psychological issues... in Psychology ·
Nicholas Thompson8 said:What do you think Jesus would say if I actually crawled out of my grave, traveled back through time, and was reborn all over again? Is anyone really going to give me an answer on this one?

☕

Nothing at all! Look, Jesus isn't really big on the whole reincarnation thing, but you might want to grab a coffee with Buddha to get his take on it.

To be honest—they represent diametrically opposed consciousnesses (and worlds).

More accurately: all spiritual teachings provide a crystal clear definition of Evil as the direct antithesis to Good—every single teaching except for witchcraft.

But those groups are statistically so small that their take on spirituality is considered marginal and
extreme...

It really is the same package, even if it feels different.
Spiritual teachings—not religious ones, mind you—all point out that you can't have white without black, or black without white. That realization comes from actually living life, not from some dusty theory about how life *should* work.

I will attempt to outline the necessary mental framework required when one seeks answers to this question. Who are we? A collection of fragments. A series of contradictions. We are nothing more than the sum of our mistakes and our fleeting ambitions. There is no grander design here. Just us. Moving through the noise. Trying to make sense of a world that doesn't care to listen.

It all begins within. You have to start with yourself—your physical vessel and your own spirit. When you hit a wall in your research, stop banging your head against it. The answers exist. They reside with those who have already mastered the path. It is actually quite simple. 🙂

Some people have actually arrived at the core of it. They’ve found the answers to the heavy hitters: Who are we? What is our purpose? And what exactly are we supposed to do next?

You will encounter research professions—physicists, MDs, scientists. Then, you will find researchers on a spiritual plane. I am not referring to those whose ideologies stem from organized religion. I mean tribes and people living in total harmony with nature. From shamans to Native Americans to various other indigenous groups from every corner of the globe.

You will also encounter individuals who have stumbled upon entirely accidental experiences. We are talking about people who claim to have undergone "out-of-body journeys." They are eager—far too eager—to broadcast these encounters to anyone willing to listen.

You can find plenty of answers from those practicing breathwork and yoga. Certainly, even the bioenergetics crowd should have some insight to offer.

If you're actually hunting for answers to those vital questions, don't expect much from the experts. You’ll likely find your truths sitting on some neighbor's porch, wandering through the woods, or just flickering across a TV screen. That's where the reality lives.

Once you begin to shape an opinion on who we are and what our purpose truly is, the evidence will be everywhere. You will find it in everything around you. Every single day, you will stumble upon more proof that validates your conclusions. The answer becomes clearer and clearer. It becomes undeniable.

What I am trying to get at is this: we are still waiting. We are stuck in limbo until we finally answer the fundamental question of who we actually are and what our purpose is meant to be.
It’s trivial. Truly. We simply need the willpower to face the truth, answer the questions being asked, and finally connect the dots that have been staring us in the face for years. Most of the evidence is already out there. We've heard it. We've seen it. We've felt it. It is all right before our eyes.

Connecting the dots. A futile exercise. Most people spend their lives staring at scattered points, praying for a pattern to emerge. They want order. They want meaning where none exists. It’s a delusion. You can draw lines between any two random events if you try hard enough, but that doesn't make them related. It just makes you wrong. Pattern recognition is often just a sophisticated way of being mistaken. This is simply the road to finding an answer. Who are we? What is our purpose? It remains an unanswered question. A void. We drift through this existence without a compass, lacking direction and clarity. There is nothing to be done. Nothing.

Let me be clear: finding the answer isn't the finish line. It’s merely the starting gun. Once that truth surfaces, a tidal wave of unanswered questions will hit you. You'll find yourselves drowning in a desperate, frantic need to figure out who you actually are. That is when the real investigation begins. A deep, grueling dive where the subject of study is none other than yourself. It is the only way. It is the only path toward the ultimate, absolute truth.

Some people have already mastered this. They broadcast their methods openly, laying out the roadmap for how to begin that long trek toward a final answer. But let’s be clear: the heavy lifting remains yours alone. You will never truly grasp your purpose or understand your specific role until you navigate that journey solo. You have to reach that realization through your own experience. No one can hand it to you.
__________________________________________________ ______________

If you want to get anywhere with this, I can tell you exactly where to start your investigation:

The universe operates on frequencies—high and low. Vibrations travel along these frequencies. Vibrations are energy. It’s simple. We are dealing with energy traveling via frequency. Period.

Time and space are nothing but illusions. Pure fabrications.

We aren't our bodies. That's a mistake. We are energy. The body is merely a vessel. Our true self—that core energy—requires a living physical form to manifest within this reality we call life. Without a biological interface, our energy would have no way to enter or function within the earthly realm. It simply wouldn't exist here.

It’s a fundamental flaw in logic. A television broadcast doesn't actually exist simply because a transmitter sends out frequencies through the air. Without a receiver to catch those signals, there is nothing. The image exists nowhere except on the screen itself. Radio operates under the exact same principle. It's all an illusion without the hardware to manifest it.

The body isn't a terminal point. We exit it, yet our energy remains intact. It persists. When the physical vessel finally fails, the energy is forced out. It cannot inhabit a lifeless shell. Simple physics. Obvious reality.

Our energy—the "I"—is a living, constant force. It cannot be extinguished. It does not die. Under no circumstances. Our physical body? Nothing more than a mere engine. A tool used to operate within this reality on Earth. That is simply how it works.

There are countless realities out there. This one we inhabit? It’s just one of many. Human energy possesses the capacity to exit the physical vessel and experience existence in entirely different planes without requiring death to do so. Transitioning to another reality can—and should—be a conscious act. Once achieved, the physical body simply enters a "standby" mode, waiting patiently for our energy to return.

Reality is nothing more than frequency. As many frequencies exist, so do multiple realities. This life we cling to is merely the specific reality filtered through our five senses; it is far from absolute. We have the capability to tap into a much broader spectrum of frequencies if we dare to ask the fundamental question: "Who are we?" That inquiry opens doors to new realities that are every bit as tangible as this current one we call "life."

PS.
I am not here to impose my views or beliefs on anyone reading this. My only intent is to provide a compass for those who decide to seek answers to the question: "Who are we, what is our purpose, and what is our role in this existence?"

PPS.
I hope this provides some clarity. 😉

I couldn't agree more! I'd also throw in that we are the co-creators of our own existence, though living in a structured society within a material civilization tends to mask our true nature from us.

It’s actually kind of hilarious how we go through life without having any real answers to the big questions...

Maybe it's better just to live it instead of overthinking everything!😕

Megan Nguyen22 said:Hmm, yeah... I've been chewing on that even more since then. It mostly comes down to the fact that our perspective is flawed and our experience is limited. We can't truly grasp the ripple effects of what we do or even what we say, even when everything feels absolutely right in the moment.

We’re basically blind as moles, just stumbling around with zero foresight. Experience helps us learn, sure, but even with the best intentions—you know that old saying about how the road to hell is paved with good intentions?😉 We still mess up.

Good and evil are playing the exact same game, just following rules we don't understand. Even though it looks like they're on opposite sides of the field, that shared game is actually what ties them together into one big package.

Aah, Charles Flores23 is being selfless here: handing out useless junk... stuff that’s somehow still dear to Little Red Riding Hood's heart.
Just a heads up though—when you head into those woods, remember there’s an old wolf living in there. 😁

Yeah, that nasty wolf is his whole deal!🙏
Because let's face it, Little Red Riding Hoods these days carry stun guns everywhere.😂

It's true, without her Gucci bag,
there's a big wolf in the woods.

It is true to be that haiku.

Charles Flores23 said:None of that—The truth is Charles Flores23. And you can't even see him for the trees. 🙂
In other words, it's the total sum of everything happening in that cycle:

1. the initial intent,
2. the destruction and wreckage
3. the rebirth—the reshaping

So, no new dresser then... the truth is the forest, but I certainly can't drag a whole forest back to my apartment...😉 Can I just build the dresser out of wood from the woods?

Anonymous said:A person can only truly reach the truth once they’ve stripped away every single lie they've ever told themselves—which means hardly anyone ever sees the full picture.
The worst part? Once you finally find it, you can't really share it with anyone else because everyone has to walk that path on their own.

It's true, though—truth is hidden everywhere, even tucked inside a lie.🤷

The Seeker always walks alone because their journey is paved only by their own footsteps. That’s what we call personal experience.

Highs and lows are just part of the ride—you have to go through them. Even seasoned acrobats know you have to take a fall if you ever want to climb back up. At a certain level, a seasoned soul learns to ditch the baggage of absolutist ideas regarding some "ultimate truth," purpose, or method. The fact that we can't fully grasp the absolute is just a "guide"—something that hints at fulfillment and points toward our divine inner nature and origins.

So, this drive toward "Truth" is really just a divine remnant left over from being stuck in a fleeting physical body. Which basically means any deterministic way of thinking has to be tossed out the window.
Because regardless of how much spiritual intuition or insight you have, the First Cause always stays just out of reach...

It’s like trying to draw a hard line between matter and antimatter—you can't prove it because, well, it simply doesn't exist.

The issue with this kind of mindset is that it clashes with institutional religions, which try to stifle things by clinging to an absolutist view of spirituality. They just don't mesh.

In other words: The search and the struggle *are* the ultimate Truth.

Uhhh... we were out trekking through the woods looking for one specific tree. We finally tracked it down, put in all that grueling work to chop it down, hauled it back home, and planned to turn it into whatever we had in mind...

So, is the actual truth found in the hike through the woods, the heavy lifting, and the purpose behind the timber?🤷

Does a person arrive at the Truth through some innate predisposition, or is it strictly a matter of choice?

The truth is, we might never actually know. We're just out here making educated guesses, I suppose...

Gregory Nelson said:Anyone who actually gives a damn about the truth would realize that Truth with a capital T and Lies with a capital L are often just two sides of the same coin—if one can even be certain the other exists at all.

Exactly. Those big letters? They take a massive amount of work,

Truth seekers pour out their very souls, their lives, and everything they have just to catch a glimpse of it.
They scramble up mountains and tumble through valleys, doing whatever it takes to grasp it—weathering the dark nights and celebrating the bright mornings along the way.
Some will eventually find it, though never the whole thing, just a fragment. But honestly? Even a tiny sliver can be worth a fortune. Still...

Don't you get the feeling that Truth, with a capital T, isn't looking to be hunted down by everyone? It’s not like it wants to reveal its entire self to the masses, but rather chooses to show us one little piece at a time.

All those seekers, thinkers, and independent souls who push themselves to the limit to find even a shred of what we call the Great Truth—aren't they actually chosen by the Truth itself as it slowly reveals its face to them? 😲😉

Way to go, kid!
It’s time to clear out the brush, dig deep, and get some new seeds in the ground.
Clean up your gear, roll up those sleeves, and let’s get to work!

Since many of us hang out here quite often, I’ve been wondering—how do we actually view ourselves? What kind of mental "toolkit" are we reaching for when we look inward? Do we just blindly assume being human is a given?
What does it truly mean to be human, anyway? What defines us, and what falls short?
And how much does our heritage and tradition shape the way we think?

Who are we, really? Are we actually free, or have we just tied ourselves to certain things just to feel like we have a sense of liberty? 🙂

Serial Killers: Q&A... in Psychology ·
Sophia Murphy37 said:Buddy....

War is actually a perfect setup for serial killers—you get to kill, but you don't have to answer to anyone! Personally, I think that definition is a bit too broad. You’ve got people who snap and kill their neighbor, but nothing else... those aren't serial killers. They just had a neighbor who was driving them absolutely insane!😂

Impulsive killings are totally different. Real serial killers? That comes from deep within the psyche. There isn't a financial motive involved, and they definitely don't act on a whim. No, they plan everything out meticulously to satisfy this internal urge to destroy or torture victims. It’s all about that feeling of power; their mental state is just broken in that specific way.

I wasn't talking about serial killers—more like people who "make a living at it," if you can call it that.
I don't think a standard member of The Assassins working for the government or some crime syndicate necessarily had a rough childhood or messed up impulses by default.
It's simpler than that. This guy kills for the paycheck or because of an ideology. He hits the gym, stays clean, fits right into society.

He isn't that "perfect neighbor" type who wouldn't hurt a fly. He drinks when he wants, gets speeding tickets, maybe gets into a scrap at a football game, swears during the match... basically just your average American, haha...
Honestly, that's almost cleaner... there’s nothing going on besides chasing the money and the thrill of the logistics.
It's like their conscience just went into permanent sleep mode and won't wake up for anything unless someone starts waving a stack of hundreds in front of them.
