People suppress that stuff because of the taboo... like, that whole "third cousin" rule was basically cooked up just to protect offspring health. It’s all about genetics, really. Interestingly enough, the old-school aristocracy actually did the opposite—they embraced it—but that's a whole different conversation.

Mostly, though it isn't even hate—it’s more just this awkwardness and boredom when dealing with regular folks... which is pretty standard if you're an introvert or someone who just operates on intuition. You basically learn how to play the part, accept people for who they are, and just vibe accordingly.
