Republican Mislav Herman: Let Bandić rest in peace; Adams is incompetent

The head of the New York City Republican Party, Mislav Herman, stated today that New York City cannot back the translational medicine project at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia due to a lack of funding. Consequently, if things remain as they are, EU funds will likely have to be returned to the European Commission's coffers.

When asked if the Republican Party accepts any portion of the responsibility, given that the whole situation originated during the tenure of the late local politician Bandić, Herman responded, "of course not".

At the federal level, the Republican Party claims to have done everything possible to make this project a reality, including securing massive EU grants, arguing that the responsibility lies entirely with local authorities.

"Let's just let Bandić rest in peace; it is high time we look the truth in the eye after a year and admit that Adams is an incompetent mayor," Herman remarked.

“We’re earmarking $50 million for preschools over the next two years. Meanwhile, just one year of the parent-as-caregiver program costs even more.”

New York City Mayor Eric Adams stated on Monday that NYC intends to build 13 new preschools and expand eight existing ones over the next two years, an undertaking that will require roughly $50 million.

To achieve this, the city has submitted 21 projects totaling $70 million to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act for funding. ”The plan involves constructing 13 new facilities and upgrading eight others. However, we can only pull about 25 percent from European Union funds—so, less than $18 million—meaning the rest has to come straight out of the city budget,” he noted.

If New York City actually wants to increase preschool capacity, I suppose it can't simultaneously be shelling out $65 million for the parent-as-caregiver initiative.

Ahead of tomorrow's City Council session, Adams also announced the formation of a new commercial entity, Sunroof Inc., which will focus on installing solar arrays on public buildings. ”

Bravo, things are finally starting to change.

The ruling explanation is finally out: New York City had the right to revoke parental guardianship, but they definitely tripped up on one major detail

Stay-at-home mom: Everyone designs their own life, and this was my choice

John Doe has been utilizing this program since 2018 and has four children.

"Since I have four kids, this program allowed me to achieve things I couldn't manage with my first two. At the end of the day, everyone builds their own life, and this was simply the path I chose," John Doe said.

So, she’s opted out of the workforce while the checks keep rolling in. I guess we'll just wait and see what happens when the kids grow up and she's a 50-year-old looking for work with zero career history; she can pretty much forget about a pension. We might just end up with a future generation of people relying entirely on welfare.

Quincy:
The Deputy Mayor mentioned that following a court ruling like this, it’s pretty obvious how difficult it is to actually implement change in this society, though they claim they intend to stay the course regardless.
It feels like we're looking at a real struggle for progress here in America, starting with major hubs like Miami and Chicago, and even moving into Small Town, USA..

Lovric shows up at court during business hours alongside Markicka to demand Tomašević’s resignation

A group of stay-at-home parents gathered outside the courthouse, joined by Željka Markić and Ivica Lovrić—the former city education commissioner who now serves as a formal advisor to Eric Adams.

So, essentially, Lovric was standing outside the courthouse during official working hours with Markicka and the parents.
While there, he went after Tomašević, calling for his immediate resignation.
He argued that Tomašević's recent decision was both inappropriate and completely incomprehensible.

"I see no other option than to call for the resignation of Mr. Tomašević and his deputies. It is the only logical solution when you have proposed and implemented a decision that is both harmful and illegal. After a move like this, Tomašević has lost any ethical claim to leading New York City. Once again, I am asking him to do what is best for the citizens of New York City—and I believe it would be best for him, too. He should resign today," Lovrić stated.

Following his remarks, Željka Markić and the parents broke into applause.

New York City spent roughly $260 million on this support system, and now we’re looking at an ongoing drain of about $6.5 million per month

The Supreme Court ruled that this obligation stands until the very last user is served, which essentially means we'll be cutting checks for $6.5 million every single month for the next 14 years. I guess these are just the kinds of skeletons the previous administration leaves behind; if you think this is bad, imagine what kind of mess the Republican Party is leaving at the national level for future generations to deal with.

Eric Adams' coalition partner Petek claims: 'He's acting just like Bernie Sanders—just look at the contracts he's signed'

"At the start of his term, Eric Adams insisted he would streamline public bidding and procurement processes to foster real market competition by inviting more companies to the table. That hasn't happened. If anything, he's adopted Bernie Sanders' old playbook, and there's plenty of evidence to back that up," Renato Petek told CNN.

‘THEY ARE PARASITES!’ Secretary John McCain pulls no punches against the Most party: ‘They are playing with people's lives and health’
https://n1info.com/news/malenica-says-they-are-playing-with-lives/

Quincy:
“This is nothing more than pure populism. In my personal opinion, they are essentially parasitizing the whole COVID certification issue; they are gambling with people's lives and their health,” Secretary of Justice John McCain stated bluntly during an appearance on NPR today.

“Everything they have been proclaiming over the last few weeks doesn't actually serve to prevent the disease, reduce infection rates, or lower the death toll. They are just exploiting this situation to drum up as many political supporters as possible,” he added.
It seems panic is setting in, leading to orders for ministers to start attacking the Most party.

Skyrocketing costs for a new preschool in this Republican municipality have raised eyebrows: 'This looks like a money laundering scheme'

A municipality in the South is currently building a preschool using funds from the European Union. Local opposition is sounding the alarm over potential fraud, as project costs continue to climb indefinitely.

It seems they aren't afraid of anyone; they just grab whatever they can the moment an opportunity presents itself.

Former Republican Party representative and her son slapped with 3.5-year sentence for allegedly swindling $15 million from the EPA

Quincy:
On Thursday, a regional court in Washington, D.C. handed down a non-binding three-and-a-half-year prison sentence to former Republican Party congresswoman Barbara Bush and her son, Krunoslav Bešenić. They were charged with defrauding the Environmental Protection Agency of roughly $15 million through a series of sham PET packaging buyback schemes.
It seems they never go for the small change, do they?

The Republican Party isn't intimidated by the Department of Justice, the FBI, or the courts. Now, it looks like they aren't even afraid of the Ethics Committee.

"We should probably observe a minute of silence for the Drag Commission," remarked Dalija Orešković this morning, the former head of the commission turned Member of Congress. "This isn't just a step backward; it's effectively the end of the commission's reason for existing."

The Ethics Committee—which Andrej Plenković recently boycotted following the Republican Party's controversial trip to Helsinki on Air Force One—is about to lose its ability to determine whether officials are acting ethically, or rather, "with honor, honesty, conscience, responsibility, and impartiality to maintain their own credibility and the public's trust."

"The Republican Party now wants to reduce this entity to a mere bureaucratic office, essentially turning it into a glorified clerk's desk that just tallies up asset disclosures," Peđa grbin warned.

So, there you have it: the Republican Party already exerts control over the Department of Justice, the FBI, and the courts, and now they’re moving to distance themselves from the very body that kept ministers, the Prime Minister, and party leaders on their toes—an agency that, frankly, often enjoyed more public trust than the judicial system itself.

The Ethics Committee is poised to lose the teeth and influence it managed to maintain over the last few years. I suppose this is largely because the relevant institutions haven't been doing their jobs in a country where Plenković's Republican Party has successfully neutralized, sidelined, and "de-dramatized" any real oversight. It seems the Republican Party will now be able to steamroll right over this commission, much like they do with everything else.

This particular Republican, who seems to have a strange fondness for singing songs about Ante Pavelić, spent years running a tiny little municipality. Now that he’s moved on, the town is stuck footing the bill for his massive private debt.
The Court ruled against Jurgec and Donji Voće, meaning the local government is now on the hook to pay back $50,000 of what was essentially his own personal debt.

They basically just leave a trail of chaos in their wake; honestly, there’s no future with people like this in charge. I can't help but wonder where that $50,000 could have been better spent instead of covering for him. But more importantly, I’m curious to see what happens to him personally—what kind of penalty is he actually going to face?

It looks like they’ve added yet another member to the committee reviewing Vica Mihanović's dissertation. Out of the five people involved now, three of them seem pretty close to the Republican Party.

Quinn:
The five-member committee tasked with evaluating Dr. Vica Mihanović's doctoral dissertation just gained a new member, which conveniently extends their deadline until Christmas.

Instead of an outside expert, they’ve appointed a professor from Memphis who happens to be closely aligned with the Republican Party.
The committee is required to submit its scientific evaluation of Dr. Vica Mihanović's dissertation to the University of Osijek Senate within thirty (30) days of this new appointment.

The original 60-day window started back in early September. It just keeps getting pushed back.
I suppose it will be interesting to see what the Republican members of the committee on scientific work of Republican colleagues eventually decide regarding their colleague's research.
They're probably just waiting for a fifth partner to join the group before they make a final call. My guess? They’ll end up deciding that Vica’s donations earned him an honorary doctorate instead.

Former Minister Tolušić is reportedly eyeing more government subsidies for new vineyards. Apparently, the vines were already in the ground before the application process even closed.

Quote:>
Tolušić has already pocketed about $2.2 million in state funds for his winery, and now he’s applying for grants to plant new vineyards—money that could potentially net him another $3.1 million.

However, Silvana Menđušić has highlighted two rather peculiar details in this whole situation.

First, the grapes were allegedly already planted in his vineyards. Second, there's an email where a staffer at the Department of Colleagues explains that the former minister himself requested a temporary two-week freeze on the application process.

Internal Republican Party Infighting Over New Conflict of Interest Law: George W. Bush and Mike Johnson Claim 'Grassroots Pressure,' While Joe Biden Dismisses Objections

I suppose they realize that once this legislation actually hits the books, they’ll be exposed. Honestly, there are just too many of them holding various positions of power for this to go unnoticed.

Former Republican Party official arrested. Suspected of rigging multi-million dollar contracts

Željko Fadljević has been taken into custody. He’s one of the former directors from the Louisiana Lottery and joined the Republican Party last year.

Apparently, Goran Puklin owns three houses in Washington, D.C., plus a vacation home on the coast. I guess you could say he’s quite the recipient of generosity; he secured three of those properties through lifetime care agreements, and one was simply gifted to him.
The FBI claims they found $700,000 in his apartment last year, which they suspect is illicit cash belonging to Dragan Kovačević. During the investigation, Puklin maintained that the money actually came from an aunt of his, and he just happened to be keeping it in his basement.
He was arrested today under suspicion that he used his former position at the Louisiana Lottery to rig public tenders worth millions.
It’s almost funny, in a dark sort of way, that the FBI thinks a man who is apparently so beloved that people just hand him houses and millions of dollars—all while being a member of the Republican Party—could somehow be capable of committing a crime.

I’ve seen this before—people seeing where the money is, how fast they can climb the ladder, and then joining the party only to immediately start working on their little schemes and thefts.

Spider-Man: I’ve been applying for jobs like everyone else.

Quentin Tarantino:
- I’m applying for positions just like anyone else looking for work. Unfortunately, opportunities aren't exactly flooding in right now, so I’m just being patient and hoping something comes up soon. I’m really just looking for something that will carry me through the next five or six years until I hit retirement age, he said.
It’s actually a bit concerning when you think about it; we probably ought to help the man reach his retirement.

Busted. A Veterans Affairs media outlet released a statement attacking Joe Biden, but they accidentally left their fingerprints all over it, revealing it was actually drafted by the Republican Party.

Quincy:
The secretary for the local Republican Party office in Indianapolis wrote the attack on Joe Biden and then sent it off to various veterans' groups with instructions to pass it along to journalists as if it were their own official correspondence.

I suppose this situation in Indianapolis isn't much of a shocker, really. It’s just more evidence of how the Republican Party has been pulling the strings of certain veterans' organizations for years now. If you look back at those protests outside the White House during Joe Biden's administration, it was pretty obvious. Back then, it was an open secret that certain factions within the American Legion and other veteran groups were essentially operating on orders from the Republican Party.
