Hey Benjamin Cox61. You looking for some Krav Maga down in Atlantic City? link You can actually train Aikido there too, and the best part is that one single membership covers both disciplines. Cheers.

Listen, the legendary Jovica is gone, passed on, and now his protégé is the one calling the shots at the club.

After they wrap up that IKMF seminar over in Canada this September, they’re finally gonna start rolling out seminars to all these other cities that don't have any Krav Maga clubs yet. You can find all the details on the official IKMF America websites.

It’s not my job to run free ads for them, alright? Most of these guys are just out there doing their own thing because they don't want to deal with beginners anyway. And honestly, I don't even want to get into a debate about their skill levels or how good their training actually is. But I will say this: I'm certain that at three specific spots, you're getting some seriously top-tier training.

For real, I kept hearing all this hype about how great the MMA scene is over in a place like San Diego, or even the Jiu-Jitsu there, but once I actually dug a little deeper and went to check it out, it looked like nothing more than kids playing games with zero clue what they're doing. Those are the types who advertise heavily, so it's pretty easy to spot where the fakes are hiding.

Look, I’m telling you again, it isn't my responsibility to spread word about crews that are just doing it for their own kicks if they aren't interested in growing. Let them train if they want; it's their money and their fun. At the end of the day, they're only working for themselves.

If someone wants to squeeze in a session in an hour, they can head over to the city or whatever, and let Mr. Miller handle it. Personally, I’d much rather put in five sessions a week with him than waste my time messing around with any of these other clowns.

Drew Reyes32, listen, I’m doing some Jiu-Jitsu training with these guys from San Diego right now and they are absolutely lethal. We're talking Šalina and Ikić. So whenever you're back in town, you can jump right back in. Also, if you want to check out Krav Maga over in San Diego, my good buddy Samir runs it and he’s a total beast, so take your pick. I’m hitting the club every single day starting at 7 PM to get my conditioning dialed in for the fall
You can find the map on our site, and I’ll shoot you a DM with the number

I’m not really sure what you mean by an "MMA club" here. Some places just offer freestyle grappling, but we focus on Jiu-Jitsu and Krav Maga, and from what I hear, a few other spots around town stick to Jiu-Jitsu too. If you actually want to step into the cage for MMA, you’ve gotta have some serious foundation in a specific skill or sport first.
Recreational MMA?
Besides Krav Maga, I don't see much else going on. As far as the crews I know go, anyone without experience 🙂 probably isn't cutting it, but hey, maybe someone else out there knows something I don't.

Maybe you should just stick to eating burgers, because there’s no way you're handling a beer when you're only 15. If you actually had the guts to drink, maybe then you could make it all the way to Chicago. When I was 15, I conquered Mount Rainier via the Couloir, and I was basically leading the whole damn pack, but even then, they wouldn't let me touch a drop of booze at the hostel.
If you're acting this desperate, then there's absolutely no point in training ninjutsu—that's a skill that's way too intense for someone dealing with a midlife crisis. Maybe try finding a girlfriend instead? :-)

Look, it’s just how it goes, you basically have to grind and put in those extra miles at the start, but once you get some momentum going, things finally start to level out... 🤣 😬

Hey, regarding
Eric Alvarez3, I’ve been talking to some guys who are actually interested, and I honestly think they’re gonna show up for the seminars in New York and Chicago, so you might as well roll through too.

Look, I gotta lay down the law right out of the gate if we're talking self-defense techniques. Real training has to turn you into a fighter, plain and simple, and that all boils down to who's teaching you and how they run their sessions. You want to talk tactics and specific moves? Honestly, you don't get that from some sports ring; you need actual life experience for that. My whole body is aching in all the "vital spots" today because I had a killer workout.
Maybe look into KAPAP or Krav Maga, or just start digging around online first. KAPAP is basically shorthand for Krav Panim l’Panim—which is just a fancy way of saying face-to-face combat.
There’s a massive amount of info out there if you know where to look. But the core thing to understand is the naming difference based on the unit that actually started it all—KAPAP was developed by Pal'mach commandos.
You want technical differences? Or stuff about vital points? Man, I’ve seen plenty of guys doing Krav Maga who have totally weak knees when they wind up to swing wildly at an attacker's steel suspenders like they've lost their minds.
Real fighting? I highly doubt you've seen much actual combat on YouTube. I believe in self-defense, though.
And the big question: Is there even a real difference between KAPAP and Krav Maga?😎You aren't going to find the technical nuances on YouTube. Krav Maga and KAPAP aren't just "courses" like people try to claim. It's like saying you can take a skiing lesson and then say you're a skier—it’s just not the same thing.
But seriously, Krav Maga versus KAPAP?😎
Anyway, Wikipedia says:

The generic name in Hebrew means "close combat." The word maga (מגע) means "contact" and the word krav (קרב) means "combat," but the literal translation "contact combat," can be misconstrued as something like "kickboxing" or "full contact karate." English-speakers often shorten the term to Krav.

As a historical note, the original name of Krav Maga was KAPAP which was an acronym for Krav Panim el Panim, face-to-face combat.
😬

Krav Maga doesn't give a damn about MMA rules😘 ( 😈 + 😲 ) I'm just kidding, seriously though, you should totally swing by because you're gonna love it. It’s like stepping into a whole new dimension of fighting.

Hey rustyangler02
Every single Saturday is booked solid. If you want to swing by during the week, just head over to www.aikido.com and check out the schedule. And what's this nonsense about "maybe testing out the students' abilities"? You really think you can handle that? :-)
