What’s the standard protocol if an enforcement order for tax debt gets sent over to a collection agency, but in the meantime, the debt has been paid in full directly to the IRS?

I’m genuinely curious how these people find the time to handle their banking, hit up the post office, or pay bills during the work week. Apparently, they can magically conjure up free time for shopping, but suddenly they're too busy for everything else.
Honestly, screw anyone who thinks a family outing should consist of driving to a big-box store. You’re essentially brain-dead if you think Sunday is the prime time to go out hunting for toys, clothes, or shoes. Fine, I get that groceries are a necessity, but if you haven't grabbed what you need by noon, you're already behind.
And please, spare me the "but businesses need to make money" argument. Who exactly is making that money? Some billionaire CEO? It’s not like we’re working to fund their luxury yachts or their mid-winter ski trips to Aspen. Has anyone actually bothered to look at the paychecks of these workers to see how much they actually get compensated for Sundays and holidays? Besides, would any of you actually agree to work on a Sunday for $667. a month? I don’t run a retail chain and I don't work Sundays, but if someone suggested I pick up a shift for $167., I’d tell them to get lost.
