Look, if you’re happy with a certain doctor and feel comfortable recommending them to someone else, just do it. If you’re too shy to post it publicly, then send a private message. This shouldn't just be about you; it should apply everywhere.
People don't come to this forum out of boredom; they come here looking for actual advice and recommendations when they can't find them anywhere else in the real world.
No matter how much I come here searching for a specific recommendation, I never get one. Honestly, I'm just disappointed!

Some people seem to think folks visit a proctologist just for fun or out of boredom.
I've even heard about spikes occurring in people after hemorrhoid surgery, causing them to come right back. I'm not a doctor and I'm a total layman in this field, but I feel like there has to be a solution out there. If we can get to the moon, surely we can find a fix for hemorrhoids. Maybe my case isn't severe enough for surgery, but I want this gone. If surgery isn't the answer, then there has to be some other way to treat it. Last time I saw the specialist, they just gave me some pills and a cream, and that was it—things calmed down for a bit, but now I've been struggling with them again for quite some time.

I've come across a few recommendations for private specialists here, but if I have the choice, I’d much rather go through a hospital doctor first—mostly because money is a bit tight right now. So, if anyone has any suggestions, please speak up; I really need help. Lately, the pain has been kicking in too, so...
I still haven't decided what I'm going to do about these hemorrhoids...
The thought of surgery makes me panic a little, but why worry about things before they happen? Once I get myself there, I'll just go see a specialist and then decide on whatever solutions they suggest. Lately, I've been noticing some bleeding, so now I'm thinking about these miserable hemorrhoids a bit more often. And, if it turns out an operation is the only way, I just really hope they don't keep coming back.

This is actually urgent for me. Look, if it gets to the point where I seriously can't stand these hemorrhoids anymore, I’m going to pull the trigger on surgery. It would be a massive help to know which hospital or specialist you’d recommend.
Linda Ward312 said:Harold James25, symptoms are fissure pain and burning after a bowel movement. From what I've read, that pain can be absolutely brutal and linger for a while after you're done. It wasn't agonizing for me, but I could actually see and feel the fissure from the outside.
cosmicviper18, just go to any hospital with an abdominal surgeon specializing in this (like Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins, or Cleveland Clinic...). Just use your insurance referral. No out-of-pocket costs.
Yeah, but I'm asking about the quality of care and if there's an option that isn't a standard surgery.
I’m clearly not smart enough to figure out how to actually fix this condition. Why on earth do hemorrhoids have to itch so much?... Some private specialists charge a fortune just to look at you. Is there any decent proctologist in New York City—maybe at a hospital—where the exam and everything else is covered?
I’m still holding out hope that there’s actually a solution to this... I've been dealing with hemorrhoids for ages, but lately, the itching has reached a whole new level of unbearable. I honestly don't know what else to try applying...
You guys aren't giving me much to work with here... Is nobody else dealing with hemorrhoids? Is everyone just fine? Since I already posted about this once and didn't get much of a response, I'll try one more time. Can anyone recommend a private proctologist or a clinic in New York City? If it’s part of a hospital system where I wouldn't have to pay extra for an exam, that would be ideal...
I keep posting here hoping someone might actually drop a helpful suggestion... The issue is external hemorrhoids. I can't tell if they're just getting worse or if new ones are popping up constantly, but the itching is unbearable—like I'm going to tear my skin raw from scratching. I could spend forever cycling through random creams, or maybe I should just see a specialist. I know there are private clinics out there, but does anyone know of a high-quality place where I won't get ripped off or at least won't have to pay an insane premium?
cosmicviper18 said:Hi everyone, I've been following this thread for a while because I'm dealing with hemorrhoids myself. Once, I just grabbed some cream from a local CVS on my own, but it ended up being nothing more than some suppositories and one other ointment. I don't see how that actually solves anything; I want to get rid of these things for good. I bleed during bowel movements, they itch every single day, and every once in a while, a new one pops up. Since this is an online forum, I figured there must be plenty of people here who have dealt with this before. Right now, I'm totally lost on what to do or who to talk to—unless I just want to get handed another prescription cream or more suppositories... And honestly, I don't have the money for any major surgical procedures... So, if anyone has any advice for me,...
I posted this a few days ago, but nobody replied except for one person via private message. I really need a recommendation for a proctologist in NYC. Is it even possible to find one without paying a fortune? I'm broke... I wouldn't be this persistent if it wasn't urgent, so I'm hoping someone can help...
Hey, I’ve been lurking on this thread for a while now because I’m dealing with hemorrhoids myself. I tried some over-the-counter cream from the drugstore once, but all I got were some suppositories and one other ointment. It didn't solve anything. I want a real way to put an end to this. I bleed during large bowel movements, they itch every single day, and new ones just keep popping up from time to time. Since this is a forum, I figured there are plenty of people here who actually know what they're talking about regarding this stuff. Right now, I'm totally lost on what to do or who to see—I don't want to just get prescribed more useless ointments and suppositories... and I definitely don't have the cash for whatever expensive procedures might be needed... So, if anyone has any advice for me...
