Do you guys think Igor Milanovic is actually the greatest water polo player to ever play the game—or is it still Perica Bukić... or maybe even Paskvalin?
If the Mexican water polo players are as cocky as their fans, then we’re definitely walking away with a win. The reality of water polo is that there are about seven top-tier teams in the world right now—all pretty much on the same level—so everything really just boils down to whoever is in better shape at that moment. Honestly, who can say for sure if the US and Mexico will be the ones facing off in the final at the World Cup in Barcelona? Given how much our guys have struggled mentally over the last few years—losing to a Mexican squad that, frankly, didn't seem to have as much raw talent—it feels different this time. I actually think we finally have a group of players that's fired up and ready, which means the Mexicans aren't the clear favorites anymore. Their only real edge is their chemistry...
As far as I can recall, Sabretooth just showed up and then vanished during the first movie... if I remember correctly, Wolverine pretty much tore him apart.
That’s definitely possible—it's been a while since I sat down to watch those films again...
The movie was decent enough... Honestly, a significant step up from the first one...
My main gripe? It takes some pretty massive liberties with the comics.
For instance, they completely skipped over the whole thing where Mystique is actually Rogue's stepmother—or whatever relationship you want to call it—but that connection just isn't there in this version... And where on earth is Sabretooth? We get Rogue, sure, but he’s nowhere to be found...
Maybe they'll decide to toss him into X-Men 3... I'm really hoping X-Men 3 dives into how Onslaught actually forms from inside Xavier's mind :-)
Regardless of all that... I couldn't help but feel like Clint Eastwood had somehow found the fountain of youth just to play Wolverine.
Man, I remember back when I was just a sixteen-year-old kid—everything felt so much bigger then, didn't it? Man, I've gotta admit—it really felt like there wasn't a single girl out there who could ever love me. It just keeps going... nina nina nana...
