I asked about this whole "Sales tax vs. vehicle excise tax" mess.
I wanted to know if they even realize how absurd it is to charge Sales tax on top of the vehicle excise tax—essentially taxing a tax. It’s unheard of.
Their response? They said the Department of the Treasury cleared it, so that's that. If I don't pay, they just deduct it from my monthly payment and mark the rest as a debt...
As for point number two, I haven't run the math yet. Still processing it all.
I don't see it mentioned here. Did you double-check if that lease actually shows up as a liability? For instance, if you were applying for a loan at JPMorgan Chase, you'd ask the FBI for a full report of your credit card debt and outstanding loans...
I have a lease on my car myself—as an individual, just like you—and it doesn't show up on my credit report. I actually called the leasing company; they told me that not all leasing firms report data to the FBI.
That said, it’s probably better if we don't try to juggle too many things at once. Good luck!
Thanks for getting back to me.
I get why you’re reacting to my frustration with my GP, but please don't take it personally just because you're a doctor. I have nothing against your profession.
I’m not one for baseless sarcasm. The thing is, this doctor has quite the reputation for being stingy with referrals. There’s no hard proof, but word is she gets some kind of kickback from Medicare by holding them back. It seems to be a common practice at my local clinic.
I’ve mentioned before that my situation isn't an emergency, yet it's strangely specific enough that I felt forced to go private. Why should I have to shell out over $67 just for a routine hip scan for a baby? If I could have just used a referral and walked in, I would have—but babies are unpredictable.
The fact remains that she claims she's just looking out for me, trying to save me a trip and get me into "better hands." If that were actually true, she would have at least glanced at that mole I brought up. She didn't.
Anyway, that’s a whole different conversation.
Much appreciated.
There isn't a single dermatologist in my neck of the woods. Everything revolves around the hospital 124 miles away.
When I asked for a referral, my doctor was kind enough to scribble down the number for a private specialist in a nearby city.
I realize healthcare isn't cheap, but I tend to prioritize the budget for our pediatrician—you just can't put a price tag on your baby's care.
Anyway, enough about me. I could use some advice: aside from a few birthmarks that have always been there, I’ve noticed an oval-shaped spot, maybe 4mm, appearing during this pregnancy. It wouldn't even bother me if it wasn't for the constant pulling, stinging, and itching every single day. Is this a normal pregnancy thing, or should I be panicking?
I know this is totally off-topic, but I’m hoping Ashley Flores and Linda Peterson can help me out. You all use Yasmin, and I’m stuck in a bit of a dilemma: when exactly does the new pack start? Is it after a 6-day break or a 7-day one? My last pack ended on Thursday—so do I start the next one on Thursday or Friday? I’m taking these for PCOS, and I’ve noticed there are two different sets of instructions floating around.
Thanks in advance👋
First off: Cut it out. You’re clearly out of your depth here. You’re just a poor imitation of a real expert.
Usually, I’m quite polite, but you’ve pushed my buttons. Here’s why. My current issue stems from being on Diane 35. I’ve been taking them for months now—not for birth control, but to manage PCOS, which is currently standing in the way of my ability to conceive.
Taking these pills feels like a gamble lately.
1. No one even bothered to run blood clotting tests for me (which is nerve-wracking, considering my father just had surgery for blood clots this year).
2. I have near-constant headaches. I keep trying to blame it on something else rather than admitting it’s likely the medication.
Actually, I’m experiencing two or three symptoms that, according to the patient information leaflet, mean I should stop taking the pills IMMEDIATELY.
The problem is, I’m prescribed to take them for another two full months.
Oh, and I’m also mid-course with an antibiotic, which supposedly reduces the effectiveness of contraceptives. So, where does that leave me?
I want a baby, but I don't want a medical nightmare.
What’s the move? Should I wait after this prescribed six-month stint on Diane 35—maybe give my body at least a month to flush out the synthetic hormones—or should I follow my doctor's lead? Though, his expertise is questionable since he handed these out without checking my blood work first. Should I just try to conceive right away?
Sorry for the long vent. I could really use some guidance.
