I can't believe I'm actually the first one here commenting on this movie 😲
I have to admit, I walked into the theater feeling pretty skeptical. I've never been a huge fan of Cameron Diaz, and Ashton Kutcher isn't really my thing either.
But honestly? The movie caught me totally off guard in the best way possible. I was laughing my head off, especially during the first half 🤣. I just wasn't expecting something this fun and genuinely entertaining!
Don't go in expecting anything like a Woody Allen film or anything deep like that, but if you just want to unwind and have a good laugh, this is definitely the one for you 👍

Music didn't actually give me my sense of hearing. It was just a natural talent I had, which obviously helped me with music later on, and eventually when I was in a band... Even though we'd all be singing our own parts in harmony, sure, I’d hit a wrong note once in a while, but what really helped was that I knew exactly when I messed up. I could fix it instantly, and I could always tell whenever someone else was off-key too...☕

I guess I’ll brag just a little bit—I have what's basically perfect pitch. Not that I'm claiming to be some kind of prodigy or anything, but I did spend six years in music school after all. I'm not saying it's flawless, though...

I'm just not really into those one-hit wonders ☕

Everything else just feels like overpriced, pretentious nonsense—places like PHC or Balloon—or honestly, total dive bars like El Rio, and I won't even get started on Nina. Here's another depressing reality check: until recently, the only floating bar in Cleveland had turned into a hotspot for cheesy pop melodies. It’s embarrassing. I remember back in the day, if you wanted to hear some real tunes, you actually had to trek out to the middle of nowhere, like near a place like Copper.

I'm in total agreement with this...

The truth is, we’re just stuck in this total state of lethargy—both as a city and as citizens....

And honestly, that’s just a harsh truth, which is exactly what makes it so frustrating.

What I was trying to get at is that we tend to focus way too much on the negatives. We always seem to be playing it safe and staying on the sidelines—mostly because, like you said, this city just feels stuck in a constant state of lethargy. We act all humble about it, too, like "Oh, we don't really need much anyway," which is exactly how we ended up in the mess we saw with the Mediterranean game, our soccer scene back in '99, the arena situation, and the highway projects.

The local go-to spots are: Palach—which seems to have become an end in itself, honestly; we need to shut that down ASAP. Booka—their crew does genuinely great work, but I feel like people will always talk about Booka like it's just some tiny dive bar across from the old grocery store, even though it's probably the only club giving young bands any kind of shot... Stereo—definitely one of the better things to happen in Cleveland in the last 10 years... And that's basically it...

Cleveland is stuck in total lethargy, as usual... But then again, looking at other places, maybe we aren't doing too bad..

Now this is a typical Clevelander!! Just spitting on their own hometown😠! Man, that local mentality really gets under my skin!! Instead of lifting our city up onto a pedestal (like Dalmatians do, by the way, I don't mean to offend anyone...), we’re just sawing off the branch we're sitting on.. No wonder everyone else treats us like we don't matter...😠

When I first heard their song "You," I honestly thought it was Urban singing.

The rock scene there is just so strong (both back in the old US and now).

You’ve got names coming out of there like Hall & Oates, Sony, Maroon 5, Nike, Chanel, Justin Timberlake, plus the legendary The Lonely Island.
What do you guys think about the Cleveland rock scene? Do you actually like that specific blend of rock and alternative they have going on there?

Man, it would be even better if Cleveland wasn't the top music city in America!! I definitely would've listed those same artists you mentioned.🙂 🙂 🙂
