Hey everyone, good evening!

So, I was wondering if anyone could help me make sense of this diagnosis. About six months ago, my partner was forcibly hospitalized for a month.

The first episodes started—as far as I know—around October of last year. They weren't super intense back then, and I didn't pay them much attention because I just assumed everything was due to his opioid use.

Once he finally quit using right before the hospitalization—because I gave him an ultimatum—everything just started falling apart. He became a danger to those around him, and of course, he has no memory of it... it’s like those events simply didn't happen.

Since they hospitalized him—thank God they found the right medication for him—he's actually coming back to himself. I’m seriously ready to kiss the feet of his psychiatrist. What I’m really looking for help with is this: they terrified me by saying this is a diagnosis that can only get worse. On the bright side, since being discharged, he's been on Akineton in the morning, Apaurin in the afternoon, and Diazepam plus more Apaurin at night—all alongside a monthly Depo injection. I don't know the exact dosages since he's still getting settled at home, but they've already cut his meds in half during check-ups and told him he can start working again.

If anyone can offer some advice, I'd appreciate it. How can I best support him? I know he needs to avoid stress, but what are the chances of these episodes returning even while on medication? Also, how long did it take for you all to finish treatment? I'm trying my hardest to be his rock, but I have this one hang-up—I want him to realize that those things were products of his imagination. I decided not to push that too hard yet, since it feels way too early for those "deep" conversations, but when did you all finally realize it? Etc., etc.

Has anyone switched from Qlaire to Yaz? So—am I supposed to take the first Yaz pill right after finishing the last dark red one? And when does my period actually start then?🤷

I ended up with a full-body rash from an antibiotic once (Augmentin). I assumed it was just the pill, but I guess it turned out to be an amoxicillin allergy after all. 😁

Nah, nothing really—no medications. The only new thing I’ve had to drink or eat lately is a different brand of bottled water.😁So, I was at the pharmacy earlier—the lady there told me it’s just a really mild case of diarrhea since there’s no redness or itching or whatever—so I’m just gonna finish this box first, and in the meantime, I'll head over to the gynecologist.🤷

So, I’ve broken out in a rash on my face 🙄
Since I haven't eaten anything unusual—nothing out of the ordinary for me—I'm thinking it might be the pill (I've been on QLaira for about 20 days now, just my first month). So, what now? Should I go see a gynecologist to ask for an alternative, or could this just be a temporary reaction? 🤷
