Looks solid. That slightly beefier Radeon R9 380x is a nice touch. Everything's good, though I'm not sure if that power supply can actually handle it.
Hey guys, what's the verdict on these builds? Is the new Intel Core i5 6400 actually a huge step up from the Intel Core i5 4460? Thanks!

be quiet SYSTEM POWER 8 550W

True. If I end up grabbing a new mobile setup, I'll definitely budget for a better cooler too. Probably just grab a Cooler Master T4. Thanks for the heads up! 🙂

That's what I was thinking. Totally botched my build by not picking up a better mobile board from the start. Thanks!
Hey. Running an Intel Core i7 on an ASUS motherboard with everything at stock settings. This board has this "Red Bull" auto-OC feature, but whenever I toggle it on, the whole system just freezes up. I have to hard reset the rig, and once I turn that garbage off, it runs fine again. I was thinking about trying a manual overclock, but if even this useless ASUS auto-overclock can't handle it, what's the deal? Could it be my power supply acting up? Thanks.
The rest of my build:
Intel Core i7
EVGA power supply
ASUS motherboard
EVGA GeForce GTX series
Apple SSD 250GB
Seagate Barracuda 1TB
LC Power LC CC 97
Corsair Vengeance DDR3 2x4gb 1600MHz
Haven't pulled the trigger on the order yet, alright, thanks for the heads up!

Thanks man, I'm ditching the case and ordering everything else. Honestly, I'm done overthinking every single part. This is the final build. Appreciate it!
Just threw this build together myself! Will it actually run? Any advice on compatibility or if I need to toss in an extra fan or something? It’s my first time building a PC, so I'm praying I didn't screw anything up. Thanks!
CPU: AMD FX-Series X8 8300 3.3
MB: Gigabyte 970A-DS3P, AM3+, AMD 970 SB950, 4x DDR3 2000(O.C.)/1866
GPU: Sapphire R9 380 NITRO
HDD: WD 1TB, Caviar blue, SATA3, 64 MB
PSU: FORTRON 500W, HEXA plus 400
DDR3: CORSAIR 4GB, 1600 MHz
Case: MS Raider RED
Thinking about grabbing a PC for some gaming, nothing crazy though. Budget's around $4,500.
Hey. Need some help picking between these two builds. They're pretty close, but if anyone’s got a better idea, let me know. Which one would you grab? Thanks!
