Jonathan Perez88 said:46 is practically my smallest size. I still remember the first time I walked in there—the sales clerk just looked me up and down and said, "We don't have anything small enough for you" 😍. I was rocking a size 12 back then, haha 😁.

See, that's the thing... I'm usually in a 10 or 12 myself, and in those plus-size stores, everything starts at a 14 or 16. Finding a decent 10 or 12 in regular shops? That’s like winning the lottery.🙄

I knew this was going to happen to me eventually..
well, before I even put my shoes on,
I just douse the inside of my thighs in baby powder
and suddenly, it stops happening...
same thing before bed, just powder up and everything feels fine.😍

honestly, I ruin them too.. especially the ones with way too much stretch.

amberheron64 said:So, we picked up these size 32 pants—yeah, total overkill for her—and she absolutely refuses to touch them. She tried them on once, felt totally grossed out by the fit, and now she’s insisting they look "old lady style." Honestly, I have no clue who to give them to or if I should just list them on Marketplace... she’s being so stubborn about it. To me, they're massive, but she's just being difficult—I mean, let's be real, she's being a bit irrational here. She should just wear whatever actually fits her, because they aren't even that bad. In fact, they're actually quite decent

Just post a picture of them, maybe someone here will take them off your hands. 😉 😉
I'm really hoping I can make it down to Target this week,
since I've only got two pairs of jeans, one other pair of slacks, and some shorts left.
If it actually starts snowing soon, I'm going to be stuck with nothing to wear. 🙄 🙄

As for Mustang at the mall—honestly, props to them too. 🙏
Same goes for the Mustang over by Grand Central; I always grab my jeans there and somehow always find exactly what I'm looking for. 👍

I'm not really miserable about it anymore...
they can go screw themselves with their number 32...😲 😲

btw, just picked up some tees at Forever 21 and Zara.😍 😍

Yeah, I guess so. Personally, I’ve never actually picked up a pair of pants there,
but my friend always manages to score something good 👍
plus, it isn’t exactly breaking the bank either.

Hm, just remembered my friend—she’s like a size 12 or 14, I guess—has that same build too. Big stomach, strong legs, and she somehow managed to find jeans that actually fit her in a pile of leftovers...
I picked up a few dresses myself recently (size Medium, obviously) for an absolutely ridiculous price. One of them was only $11
.
I get how teenagers think, I really do. Even though I'm only 19, I've already seen enough 😁
.
And honestly, you can find everything in Germany. My grandma lives over there, and whenever I go to visit, nobody gives me those judgmental, "you look like you've gained weight" stares. Plus, you can find pretty much anything you need... they even have T-shirt sales where things go for a buck😍

I mean, I’ve got my own too, and mine hits a bit harder...
There's just no way this little piece of pasta could ever hold up my watermelons.😁😁

And don't go blaming me, but your sister really ought to 🙂 🙂

amberheron64 said:I picked up a minimizer at Triumph for about $100,
and honestly, I only hang out in the "fuller figure" threads because of the bra selection.
My back was killing me yesterday—pinched a nerve, I think—so now I’m debating whether to see a doctor or just hope for some sort of socialized breast reduction instead.

They definitely have high-rise jeans. I bought a pair of black ones in a size 38 yesterday, and they had sizes up to 48.
I didn't check the XXL range beyond 48, but the rise on these is incredibly deep.
These black ones reach up to my belly button... which is the perfect depth for me. It's nice not having to worry about everything peeking out because the waistline is so low.

The outlet isn't really on my way, but since I'm a 75 E, I could definitely make a trip out of it for some shopping.
Anyway, I've got three new bras now, so I'm set for a while. 🙂
I usually end up with those closed-up bras that have ridiculously thick straps,
but this minimizer I just bought is genuinely solid.

So, my mom is wearing a size 34E—which, let's be honest, is quite the statement—and she actually found it tucked away in a basic, run-of-the-mill bra strip for $43... well, I suppose it all depends on how lucky you feel when you guess
.

And yeah, I consider those to be normal pants...
I’m really not interested in those tiny things that barely cover anything.
I've always dressed pretty young and modern, but I try to stay proportional.
I need a size 14, but just like your sister, I have pretty muscular thighs... there's no way I'm squeezing into super skinny jeans, but I don't even try.😁

I bought these:http://www.lisca.com/uploads/images/Marilyn_hr.jpg
But mine didn't have the neck detail; it was just the classic style in purple and green. The underwear was boxer-style, also in purple and green. The bra was $13, and the undies were $6.25🤣

Dennis James10 said:Yes, yes, and yes!!! All credit goes to the staff at Mustang!!! 👍 😍 They are consistently helpful, communicative, and they ALWAYS manage to find me something. It isn't just about the visual presentation, if you catch my drift, because they frequently pull items straight from the stockroom for me (not everything is out on the floor). 👍 Whenever I lose all hope of finding decent, youthful, and sufficiently deep-cut women's trousers, I head straight to Mustang. Granted, I always shell out quite a bit of cash for the pants; I tend to need more sizes, but it is absolutely worth the investment. At least until our consumer culture realizes they could start importing more inventory in sizes L and up. 🙄 ☕

It was my first time at Mustang, and honestly, I wasn't expecting to find any jeans there, especially for $83...😍😍 The staff pulled out like 7 or 8 different styles for me. It's rare that I actually get to choose the cut, the color, and everything else.😍

Nicholas Wilson3 said:Girls in C&A over at the mall have plenty of stuff for us to fill up on 😉
It’s not all just girly stuff either 😁

Maybe there's some deeper meaning behind those heavy denim jeans? Or just some thick-cut work pants? I don't know. Sometimes you look at a pair of rugged jeans and wonder if they're actually saying something about the person wearing them, or if it's all just fabric and thread. It’s like when I was looking through that old thrift store in Chicago last winter—just rows of heavy denim, all looking identical, yet everyone thinks their pair tells a different story. Probably just clothes, though. Just stuff we wear to cover up.
Personally, I can't stand copycats. Honestly, they make up like 90% of what you see these days. It just feels unoriginal. I prefer things to have some actual substance, you know? Everything falling apart around me lately. Back in the day, you had places like Amadeus where there was some real depth, but now? Every model out there feels incredibly shallow. Just empty shells. 🙄🙄

You know, when it comes to retail workers, you really run into every single type of personality under the sun. It’s wild. I was at the CVS down the street the other day, just trying to grab some aspirin and a snack, and the vibe was just... heavy. You get the ones who act like you’re personally insulting their entire lineage just by asking where the bread is, and then you have the ones who are so aggressively friendly it feels like they're trying to sell you a cult membership instead of a bag of chips. It’s exhausting, honestly. Just one more thing to navigate in a day that already feels long enough.
I was over in St. Helena recently, stopped by Levi's for a bit. Honestly, the woman working there nearly took my head off with that "stay inside your house and never come out" look she gave me. Total vibe killer. On the bright side, though, those ladies in the Mustang were absolutely lovely.😍 I picked up some jeans for... well, I haven't quite decided yet. Just one of those things you do when you're wandering around a mall in suburban Ohio or staring at a screen too long. Honestly, sometimes you just see them and think, "Yeah, these might work." No grand plan. Just another thing added to the pile. $83Yeah, they’re a bit small... but I’ll definitely be heading back there. Honestly, they really caught me off guard in the best way possible.

Yeah, I mean, is the St. Helena outlet actually worth the drive for anyone? Ever since they opened up over in Lisca, that’s where I go for bras. The other day, I picked up a bra and some panties for... $19😁😁
Finding a decent, supportive bra is such a nightmare for me. I’m stuck wearing an 80D or a 75E, and honestly, most of what you see in the stores is just that cheap, flimsy stuff made for teenagers. It’s always those "young girl" collections, too. So, I finally managed to track down a modern, actual adult bra in my size. About time. 🙂🙂
Then there’s this one friend of mine who’s like eighty years old, always out there hunting for bras. Honestly, I don't think she ever actually finds one that fits—it's either a total bust or she just ends up dropping a ton of cash on something overpriced because she's desperate. It's kind of a losing battle, really. $167 Before she had any others.
My mom’s basically my walking wardrobe at this point. She’s constantly hauling around these massive 85F bras for me—it’s like her main hobby now. Honestly, if you look in her closet, you’ll pretty much always find one of mine tucked away in there. Just part of the routine, I guess. $33...

brighttinker17 said:I am truly delighted by all your help 😍

brightrider95, I’m looking for a size 4 in jeans, specifically avoiding those dreadful men's cuts. They are an absolute disaster. 😢
That sounds wonderful; thank you both so much for the suggestions. I plan to head over to Fifth Avenue and CC1 to browse. To be honest, I was a bit intimidated about stepping inside because whenever I see those tiny little tops, I end up looking like a piece of ham wrapped in netting... oh dear.
I think I will focus my efforts on longer shirts, jackets, belts, and loose-fitting jeans... that sounds like an excellent plan! Thank you all! 😘 😘

And whatever you do, don't let those anorexic sales clerks mess with your head...
good luck...

brighttinker17 said:Dana Clark, you are absolutely right—it is all about mindset. When you feel good, you radiate confidence! Based on what you’ve shared, you really are wonderful. 😍 In fact, I just pictured you as that brilliant professor from an Intro to Anatomy lecture! 😍
I constantly see curvy women walking around downtown looking absolutely stunning, and I have to admit, I get a little envious sometimes. 😳

brightrider95, I completely understand. To be honest, I’ve been feeling quite frustrated with my own weight lately. I spent almost my entire life being quite slender; I don't think I ever weighed more than 130 pounds, and now, suddenly, everything has changed. Nothing I used to own fits me anymore.
Actually, I am not even sure what my size is these days. 😳 I am basically rotating through a few oversized XL t-shirts, which looks terrible because they are tight across the chest but hang loosely everywhere else. It's the same story with jeans; I’ve settled on a size 14.
I realize this might be more of a psychology topic than a fashion one 😁, but since I need to head back to campus soon, I could really use some practical advice on how to dress so I don't look heavier than I am. Your post actually gave me a bit of a boost, so thank you. 🙂
I am genuinely looking forward to autumn and pulling out my cardigans and leather jackets. I don't quite have the courage for leggings yet—hopefully, that comes with time—but perhaps some slim-fit jeans? Why not! Thank you so much for the encouragement. 🙂

I'm chubby, honestly better not to say how many pounds I am, but I weigh more than you, and I'm shorter too...
Actually, I don't think you're "chubby" at all based on your weight, but hey, if that's how you feel, fine...
But really, it isn't about what you wear, it's about how you carry it. I rotate through cardigans, jeans, skirts, flats, heels... and I look great in everything. Stand up straight. Chin up. Smile. Don't try to hide the weight; just own it.

If you want some actual advice though...
Wear things that follow your silhouette. Not stuff that's tight against your skin, but pieces that trace your shape. Since I have hips and a butt, high-waisted jeans—the kind that button at the navel—work wonders. Wrap dresses are magic, too, along with a thin belt at the waist. Stick to solid colors. And since I've got a decent cleavage, I always go for V-necks; they visually slim down my shoulders. Turtlenecks just make me look like Pamela Anderson.

So, yeah...
Usually, I grab stuff from places like Nordstrom, Mango, H&M, or Zara. C&A has some decent finds, and I usually stick to Tom Tailor for denim. For bras, I definitely hit up the Victoria's Secret outlet over in San Francisco.
What should I get for a godparent gift at a Baptism? in Students & Teens ·
I’ve been a godmother at six different weddings now,
and I always stick to the same routine: a nice book—if it isn't a Bible, then it's something religious, maybe some history, or even just a thick dictionary—plus a little white gold cross necklace. It’s a classic move, and honestly, it’s never failed me $333. I really couldn't care less if their friends are out there getting high-end cameras or motorcycles or whatever else they're into 🙄
Nicholas from FedEx in Music ·
I’m totally with Dido on this one..

It would be nice if we actually had more voices like that in the American music scene, instead of all that Simonika nonsense and her crowd... I happened to catch Nicholas's first audition, and honestly, I was just counting down the days until the next round because listening to her was such a trip... Zoran, Bojan, and Carla were all impressive too, but Nicholas really blew me away..

I just can't wrap my head around how a talent that massive won't stick around if they start chasing those superficial trends..
I mean, just look back at that one big singing competition show, whatever the hell it was called..
Out of that whole bunch, Natalie is the only one who actually made it because she actually had the pipes, but that winner—was it Rafo or Dafo or something?—where is he now? Probably in rehab or something..
Iron supplements in Health ·
Hey there...
I headed out this morning thinking I’d donate some blood,
but they turned me away because my iron levels are too low...
The nurse told me I really need to start eating more red meat,
which is funny because I barely touch the stuff,
so I was wondering if anyone else knows what else I should be eating to actually get those levels up...
