Quick question, urgent. in Health ·
Is it actually possible for blood sugar to hit 55.8? I’m asking for someone living with type 2 diabetes. Please, let me know as soon as you can.

Thanks so much
Hormonal Contraception: The Pill [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
I've been on and off these pills for about two years now, but I've never actually had to guess when my period was coming until just now. It's stressing me out because I have vacation plans, and I really don't want to spend my whole trip sitting around feeling miserable.
My main priority was checking in with some girls who've been through this to make sure I wasn't totally alone in this mess.😁
So, I did the math, and it looks like if I just take four extra pills, I should be fine. Honestly, I think I'll just take those four and let my body settle back to normal. There’s no point in blowing through an entire box just to fix a four-day window, right?🙂
Thanks for all the help, everyone!😉

Jason Rodriguez74 said:You know, whenever I felt like putting off my period, I’d always just keep going with the next pack—I actually ended up finishing an entire second box, which basically meant I skipped a whole cycle. I did this a couple of times over the years, and honestly, everything seemed perfectly fine every single time...

You didn't end up bleeding or dealing with any other nasty side effects?
That’s a lot... taking two boxes at once kind of scares me. I'm worried about what it might do to my system. 😁

Nicholas Ortiz6 said:I used to do the exact same thing—stop taking my pills early just so I could get my period sooner. Usually, I’d stop when I had about three left; I never messed with a larger amount because things always went sideways and my cycle would shift. Everything eventually stabilized, but I'm telling you again, I never did it with that many pills. That’s half a box.

That’s exactly why I came here to see what everyone else has dealt with. Honestly, I think stopping now might actually make things worse since I still have so many pills left. Shifting things by just three days isn't going to change much for me...

I need some advice here 😁
I’m on birth control, and I’ve only got 11 pills left in this pack. Usually, my period kicks in about 4 or 5 days after I finish them. The catch? My beach trip starts exactly on the day I'm expecting to start bleeding. So, I'm stuck weighing my options. Which is easier on the body: stopping the pills right now so I can hopefully get my period out of the way next week before I head out, or just finishing this pack and starting the next one immediately? I read somewhere that skipping the break doesn't guarantee you won't bleed anyway, so it’s a bit of a gamble.
Look, I already know neither option is ideal, but since my period usually lasts about 6 days, and I'm going to be at the shore for 10 days total, I really have to pick one way or the other. 🙄

I recently realized that I only have maybe two real friends—people who don't suffocate me, but I can still reach out whenever I feel like talking. They’re perfectly fine with this dynamic because they actually know me; they get that I’m just someone who occasionally can't stand people. It’s all about that balanced, one-on-one give and take.
I really need to hammer it into my head that I won't be everyone's cup of tea, but man, that's a tough mission since I'm pretty narcissistic. Lately, I've started distancing myself from these "quasi-friends." The only thing that really gets under my skin is when they pry about whether I have a boyfriend. When I tell them I don't, they make these pathetic little faces. As if that's the most important thing in the universe! Like, what, am I supposed to drop out of college, marry the first guy who walks by, and knock out a few kids just so everyone else can be happy? Well, except for me, obviously. When will people finally grasp that we don't all fit into the same little mold? Some of us just choose a different path. Anyway, I'm glad there are people like us out there...😘

I think it's just how people judge women who decide to build their own lives—getting a career, having their own apartment, being financially independent instead of relying on a man. I'm not judging anyone who wants one, two, or five kids, but it needs to be just as normal for reproduction not to be a woman's ultimate goal.
At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is feeling good and being honest with yourself. Whatever society thinks about it is their problem.😉
Besides, why is a successful, single woman in her 30s considered "weird," while a successful, single guy in his 30s (who probably still lives in his mom's basement) is perfectly fine?🤣

Here’s another one for you 😁
I've been a loner my whole life. Honestly, sometimes I feel like trying to force myself into social circles and play the socialization game is the most exhausting work 😬 ever.
So, I just stopped trying. People can either take me as I am or they can leave.
How to master lucid dreaming? in Psychology ·
Here’s how it works for me.
First off, I know I’m dreaming... I mean, even though I'm dreaming, I’m almost wide awake. Usually, I’m a pretty light sleeper, so if my alarm goes off, it doesn't really bother me. It feels more like daydreaming, just while you're actually asleep. So, step one: being aware that you're in a dream.
Second, I know I can snap out of it whenever I want. For me, even if I actually wake up—like to grab some water or hit the restroom—once I drift back off, I just pick up right where the dream left off if I feel like it.
Third, you can steer the dream however you want. If your brain throws something weird at you that you aren't feeling, you just flip the script and do what you want. Personally, I’ve spent way too many nights playing James Bond, saving the world and dodging bullets like a total pro.😁
Once you master that first part—knowing you're dreaming and knowing you can wake up at any second—it's totally up to you how far you want to take it. You can experiment with all those possibilities as much as you want.😉
Hope this helps a bit... 🙂

It’s that specific dream state where you have total control over everything happening

Like, say you're flying a plane and it starts nose-diving, so you just bail out and end up gliding through the air like a bird. No injuries or anything, just smooth sailing.

I've been having these kinds of dreams for about five or six years now. Before that, I used to have this one recurring dream about the ocean, but then somehow—honestly, I don't even know how—I gained control over the whole thing. Now, I'm fully lucid. I know I'm dreaming while it's happening, and I can steer the dream wherever I want to go. Lately, though, they don't happen nearly as often as they used to. 🤣
The wildest ones were when I'd dream about myself actually dreaming, especially during those stretches where I wasn't dreaming at all! 😁
