I’m thinking about picking up a new phone online using this Visa Prepaid Card, but I have some outstanding fines hanging over me. Is there any chance the government could just grab the money straight from this card?
I sliced my forearm open about a month and a half ago. Luckily, I didn't nick any tendons or anything, so they just had to stitch me up. But the swelling hasn't really gone down yet. I guess... is this actually normal, or should I probably head back to the doctor?
Benjamin Ward61 said:DraftKings is probably the best spot if you're looking to bet on basketball or player point totals. I guess. Maybe. It's just my opinion.👍
I registered there a while ago, but I completely forgot my username and password, so I can't get back in. I guess that's that. Is there another one available?
I managed to get everything sorted and I'm placing bets without any issues now, so thanks for the help.
Now I have another question for you. I've been using DraftKings, specifically looking to bet on NBA player props, but their selection is pretty thin. Today there were only three players available even though there are eight games on the schedule. I was wondering if anyone knows which sportsbook offers a wider variety of player props?🤷

Once you log in, there should be some prompts right in the middle of the screen for card verification, bank verification, and address. Just click on the card verification option. They’ll pull somewhere between one and three dollars from your account. Then, after a few days, I suppose you should head down to your local JPMorgan Chase and ask for a statement. It will show the exact amount they charged you. You need to enter that specific amount into PayPal. It has to be accurate down to the penny. I guess it doesn't matter if you have...
I went ahead and did all of that, but I tried to withdraw my funds to my card four days ago and still nothing has happened.
And that address verification code hasn't shown up yet either.
I'm having trouble withdrawing funds from my PayPal account. I suspect the issue might be due to a typo in my last name. On my actual bank card, the name includes a special character, but when I set up my PayPal profile, I just used a standard letter instead.😵
Can anyone tell me if this mismatch actually matters? And if so, what should my next move be?
Walter Edwards said:Well, you just enter your account number. Your Routing Number is basically just your bank account identifier (short for something like International Bank Account Number or whatever)...
That can't be right. I actually went down to my local Chase branch today and the guy there told me to just put in my account number. He said if the system doesn't accept that, then I should use the full routing details which are about 21 characters long—it starts with the US country code, then some digits, and then the rest of my specific account info.
Alright, I managed to pull it off. Now I'm wondering about when I want to withdraw my funds from DraftKings—which account number am I supposed to enter? Should I use the one printed on my debit card, or that ABA Routing Number?
slywolf57 said:I suspect they might pull the funds before you even send anything, probably right when you register the card there. I'm not entirely sure if an ATM would show that transaction clearly. Is your card and Moneybookers account both set up in USD? If you're dealing with different currencies, you might run into issues with that tiny amount, since you have to be exact down to the last cent.
Both my card and Moneybookers are in USD, but the system is insisting I enter the figure in Euros.
slywolf57 said:Yeah, I'm not sure what your specific bank calls it, but it's basically online banking. You just log in, pull up your transaction history, and see how much was actually taken out. It should be something tiny, maybe like a penny or two. You have to enter that exact amount into PayPal so they can verify the card belongs to you. I guess that number might shift slightly depending on the exchange rate, so maybe wait until you get a recommendation from someone who's already done this.
It shows up on my PayPal account too, but it's listed in dollars. Can I just check this at an ATM? And which figure am I looking for—the one from when I loaded funds onto PayPal, or the one from when he withdrew back to his card?
slywolf57 said:I guess you should try transferring, say, $25. Some of these betting sites end up taking a commission. It’s annoying.
When you get to that part where it asks you to choose a payment method, if you see an option like "pay from current balance" or something similar, I guess you can just transfer the funds that way. Maybe.
So, that’s why I struck out. But there's another issue entirely. I went ahead and flagged my card as non-gaming on PayPal, and now it won't let me use it for any sportsbook at all. I've already transferred the funds back to the card, but now I'm stuck because I can't re-upload any cash until I enter a specific amount. I typed in the wrong figure, so now I have to sit around and wait until tomorrow. I guess I'm wondering how I can actually find out what that exact number is? Here is what I'm looking at. I suppose I should probably mention this. It’s about using PayPal for certain transactions. I don't know if everyone will agree with my take on it, but I think there are some specific ways to handle things that might be useful. Maybe. It's just something worth looking into if you're trying to navigate the usual hurdles.
Noah Davis55 said:Well, if you flagged the card as non-gaming, just leave it alone for now and forget about using it through PayPal. Maybe try depositing directly with DraftKings using that card instead, or find some other way.
I went ahead and changed the setting to gaming, but back when I actually made the deposit, it wasn't set up that way. I guess I could try withdrawing the funds back to my card and then re-depositing via PayPal, but I'm honestly not sure how to even get money from PayPal back onto a card.
So, I gave it a shot over at DraftKings, but it’s telling me the funds I moved from my PayPal aren't designated for gaming. I tried adjusting the settings, but nothing seems to work—I guess maybe I have to re-upload the cash entirely to get it to recognize it.🤷
The thing is, I can't even withdraw the money from PayPal either. It keeps showing me this. I don't have a credit card on hand, and as for a bank account... I'm honestly not sure what that's supposed to entail here.😕
slywolf57 said:I use PayPal all the time and I’ve never run into an issue like this before. Did you actually move the funds over to PayPal yet, or is the cash still sitting on your card? It’s usually much smoother if the money is already sitting in your PayPal account.
The money is in my PayPal, but for some reason, I can't transfer it over to the sportsbook.
I tried it through DraftKings, too. When I log in to PayPal, it shows me this and when I select that last option and hit confirm, it just redirects me straight back to my PayPal account dashboard.
I pulled out my Visa Prepaid Refresh card and signed up for PayPal along with a few different betting sites, but every time I try to actually deposit anything into an account, I just get this error
I have a question here. I was thinking about getting this card so I could bet online and maybe pick up an NBA streaming package, but I've run into a bit of a snag. On the Wells Fargo website, it says this card is listed as a Visa/Mastercard, yet both of those things I want to do specifically state they only accept Mastercard. Does that mean I won't be able to use this card for either of them?😕 If that's the case, I guess there's still a chance I can just sign up through PayPal, right?😕
I have a question. I just called my bank and they told me that this card can only be picked up by showing an ID, and I need to deposit $33 onto it first. It says the label for this card is Visa/Mastercard, but I want to place some bets on DraftKings where it only lists Mastercard. Does that mean I won't be able to use this card there?😕

Do I actually need a steady job just to get that card?
Edit: I just read through the fine print and apparently I don't need one; having a standard checking account at the bank should be enough. But, I have another question. Is there really a difference between a regular Visa and a Visa Electron? I'm planning on picking up an NFL Game Pass to watch the NBA, but it specifies I need a Visa, not a Visa Electron. I assume they're basically the same thing, but maybe someone could confirm if that's true?
