thanks a lot

Man, that sounds like a cool thing to have...
I've just got an old car sitting around... would you guys be able to tell me what my ride is worth?

It pertains to the field of medicine.
The document is printed on parchment and features an embossed seal within its casing, all written in Latin.

It is over a century old—though I cannot provide the exact year, as I am quite hesitant to repeatedly open the case and risk damaging such a fragile piece of history.
Does anyone have any insight into what such an item might be worth today?
If you could send me a private message with some rough estimates, I would truly appreciate it; I simply want to know what specific details I should look for when evaluating its value.

even if it's in mint condition, maybe 50-$33...
that's not actually that rare of a find

Man, they really went and scrubbed it just because it was trending... typical.
Just imagine how filthy that could get. 🙂

Basically, it’s a color pastel from '77—about 20x12 inches—featuring a female nude.

This one’s worth somewhere between 100 and 130 bucks—so go ahead and run the numbers yourselves

Keith Kern5 said:Thanks for the reply, Billy, but as far as I know, hunting clubs don't really handle appraisals for stuff like this... they might be able to tell me the exact age, and since it's quite old, I assume that adds value, which falls more under antique appraisal... I guess🙂

Thanks, cheers👋

Look, any seasoned hunter out there who's been in the woods for years will be able to tell you exactly what those antlers are worth.
They won't hand you some official certificate or anything like that, but they'll definitely know what kind of cash you can get for them.

I’m really asking for some help here because I’ve gotten stuck with these antlers and I honestly have no clue who to turn to for an appraisal. 🙂

Maybe somewhere abroad? Like Canada or maybe Mexico?? 🤷 Please help!!!
🙂

Antlers - hunting - hunting clubs
... maybe that's your best bet for something like this.

If you drop two zeros off that number, you might actually find a buyer.
Honestly—those kinds of reproductions are everywhere at flea markets, and half of them are probably in better shape than yours.

I have this painting by Angela Wright, and I was just wondering what kind of value it might actually have if someone were to sell it...

From where I'm sitting, you've already listed the picture on eBay anyway.
So, you've basically set your own price for the piece at $3000.
Just speaking from experience here—for about $3000 (or even less), you could easily pick up one of his larger oil paintings, maybe around 40x27 inches.

The technique used in your piece is aquatint. I'm guessing the dimensions are roughly 18x25 inches or somewhere in that ballpark, give or take a few inches.

If you're looking at actual market value right now (not those inflated gallery prices), a work like this would probably go for $150-$200. Galleries might try to push it toward $400.

It could be a hand-drawn sketch—I won't know for sure until I actually see a photo—but honestly, it might just be one of his prints, since God knows he produced more graphics than there are pennies in a jar...
Anyway, regardless of what it is, if it isn't an oil on glass piece from before the 90s, it’s probably not worth much.
In most galleries, his prints usually go for anywhere from $700 to $667 depending on the size and how they were made.
Realistically though, you can find his prints for about $400 to $333... like I said, he churned out a ridiculous amount of them...
Art appraisals/valuations? in Classifieds ·
Honestly, I’ve actually seen cases where people would just haul his paintings down to the local scrap yard—you know, looking for a quick buck—and they'd get maybe a hundred bucks for them.
But if we're being real here, $333 the market for his stuff has pretty much hit a ceiling lately. Back in the day, you could probably move one of his pieces for way more than that... but those days are long gone.
Anyway, that’s just my two cents based on what I've seen with his work.
I actually know of one of his oil paintings—something big, like 200x100 cm—that's just hanging there in a local metal recycling center, and the owner is basically asking for $133.

My parents asked me to look into whether these paintings are actually worth anything. My mom received them as a gift a long time ago—they’re supposedly by Mike Kovachic—but I can't be entirely certain. Now, they're feeling a bit of a squeeze with money being tight on a small pension, so they're considering selling them. Is it worth the trouble? Or just more clutter?

Some guy named Kovacic, maybe... but definitely not the famous Mijo.

It's oil on canvas, dimensions are 58 x 68.

Thanks.

The photo is way too small—even if there's an artist signature somewhere, I can't make out a thing.
Get some better, high-res shots of the details, then maybe someone here can actually figure out what we're looking at. 👍

Hannah Gray77 said:So, I’ve been sitting on this Ivan Rabuzin painting for nearly 20 years now—it’s a landscape, roughly 20x28 inches.
Up in the top left corner, someone scribbled "E.A" in pencil, and then over on the right, there's his signature, also in pencil: IVAN RABUZIN.
It’s already framed and under glass, too.

Back in the day, pieces like this were seriously high-ticket items, so I know it wasn't cheap when I first got it.

But here’s what’s eating at me: what does that "E.A" actually stand for? There isn't a number after it or anything. When you catch the light at just the right angle, you can really see the texture—the actual brushstrokes and layers of paint on the leaves and the houses.
Is this a genuine original, or am I just looking at something else? Honestly, I haven't a clue.
Can anyone give me a quick breakdown of what's going on here?

Also, any idea what kind of cash this could pull in these days?

Thanks in advance! !!!!!!!!!!

Basically, you're looking at a print that's been hand-finished—so "EA" means it's an artist's edition. Those are actually rarer than the numbered ones, which usually makes them more valuable. It’s not a one-of-a-kind original painting, though.
Rabuzin was always a big deal in the art scene, and his stuff always moved well.
Since it's been hand-touched, the price really depends on how much work went into it. Honestly? It probably won't break $500-$600. In fact, it'll likely lean closer to the lower end of that range.
Usually, prints aren't worth nearly that much, but since it's a Rabuzin, you've definitely got something decent on your hands. 😉

Richard Rivera22 said:Hey there,

I was wondering if anyone here might have some extra details or maybe even a ballpark price on this piece from the American collection:

Code:

Thanks!

From what I can tell—and correct me if I'm wrong here—it looks like a watercolor print or maybe ink and wash. It’s hard to give a solid estimate just by looking.
Either way, his work is out there in the market like weeds in a backyard; back in the day, people were getting 10-15 Deutsche Marks per signature on prints.
You'll find a million different prices online, too. Honestly, if you're looking at gallery prices, you should probably shave off 50% from whatever they're asking (sometimes even more).
I actually picked up an original felt-tip drawing, about 16x24 inches, for 100 bucks including the frame once. 🙂

Could you please point me in the right direction—where on earth am I supposed to find a Crnčić for that kind of money?

Not in the galleries, 😉that's for sure.
Art appraisals/valuations? in Classifieds ·
For some reason I just can't wrap my head around why Americans are dropping so much cash on his paintings and graphics—honestly, if you ask me, they’re totally overpriced.
Plus, if you take a quick sec to look him up—not even a huge effort, really—you'll see his prices right there 😉

They were actually part of some jewelry—they’ve got a little loop at the top for a chain or something.
So, honestly, to any serious coin collectors out there, they don't really hold much value—they're basically just being valued by their silver content.
I'm not exactly sure what the current spot price for silver is right now—my bad—but if you weigh the coins and multiply that by the silver price, that's pretty much your total.

Nah, I don't think so—they’d probably have to head over to Austria or Italy, though I'd say Austria first
