Hormonal Contraception: The Pill [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
Hey!! I need some advice... So, I was prescribed Lindynette 30, but it's not for preventing pregnancy—it's for cycle regulation. My periods are irregular, and my doctor suggested these pills, but since I also deal with epilepsy, how smart is that actually?
Has anyone here dealt with this before? Please help!
I've had enough! in Psychology ·
So... lately, I’ve been spiraling into a really dark place. I feel incredibly low, I can't stop crying, and I've been hurting myself—taking handfuls of pills just to numb out. I am truly, deeply sad... I want to stop this cycle, but I feel trapped, like it’s become an addiction I can't break. 😢... What's even worse is how much I seem to lean into this pain. It isn't right, and I know people call this behavior weak or cowardly... But honestly? I’m lost. I don't know what to do next. Please, if anyone has advice, I'm listening... Anything helps.

Forgive my persistence, but I have to ask—why did you stop? Which doctor were you seeing?☕

I'm currently on Depakote 300 and Phenytoin 250. I was taking Lamictal previously, but I developed a rash. Where are you receiving treatment? Which doctor are you seeing?😉

I haven't actually made it to my back MRI yet; I just went to pick up the referral the other day...
😁.... What kind of epilepsy do you have? Are you on any medication??? What specifically are you taking?

Here’s the situation... I’ve been dealing with epilepsy since I was three years old, so I've been on various medications my entire life. Naturally, the endless cycle of pills, hospital visits, and specialist appointments gets exhausting. For the last two months, I haven't been able to stand on my own two feet. Yesterday, I went to the Mayo Clinic for an exam. The doctor ordered an MRI for my back and mentioned a slight curvature. Then, he suggested that most of this is more psychological than physical. Does anyone have any advice? Has anyone else dealt with something like this? How do you cope with being told it might be in your head?😕
