Everything you need for a California wedding

So, here’s the deal:
We’ve had an unplanned pregnancy on our hands, which means we suddenly need to get everything organized—and fast.
To be honest, I’m completely in the dark about 😢 anything regarding weddings. It isn't even that I don't know; it's just that nobody in my immediate circle has decided to tie the knot lately, so there's no one local to ask. Because of our traditional upbringing and the fact that he's an only child, we really have to go big with a large wedding reception 😲—but, well, anyway!
The real issue is that I truly have no idea where to even begin. On top of the chaos, I'm still finishing up my degree and if I don't wrap things up by October 1st, my whole plan falls apart (STRESSSSS).
I realize I'm asking a lot, but it would be such a massive help if someone could give me a few pointers on what's actually required for a wedding (I mean, I know the basics—venue, band, etc.),
and perhaps suggest some venues that can hold at least 200 guests in the San Diego area or somewhere nearby...
I've been trying to comb through all these forum posts, but there are just way too many. I made it to page 60... and I really, really don't have much time to spare!!!
