Austin Grant9 said:Look, I don't know about all that, but since Žrnovnica falls under the Split municipality, my only concern is getting a green light
at the Strožanac intersection heading toward Žrnovnica.

Don't sweat it, you can cruise right through to Podstrana without any issues. 🙂

I have at least two different ways to get to every town nearby... it's wild. You just need to figure out where they're sitting, bypass them, and go. Then the police realize what's happening and move the checkpoint—so you just find another way around... eventually, they cover all the routes (assuming they actually have enough officers to do it...).

Honestly, I should have seen this coming. It was bound to stop working soon... ☕

Around here, they're always parked in the same spots on the main highway (like near the roundabout, Mutogras, Sućurac, etc.), but there's zero chance they can monitor all those backroads and side paths. People are basically cruising right past them using those shortcuts, just like you described.🙂

Where exactly is that control point located on the highway heading toward Omiš?

Yeah, you can. Pretty sure the checkpoint is at Mutogras.
Joseph Taylor11 said:Maybe check with County Emergency Management?🤔

Because I can see that from your post, too:
c/p
Yesterday, the County Emergency Management recommended that the National Command Center merge San Diego, San Jose, and Santa Clarita into one single zone where people wouldn't need a permit to move around.

I reached out to the headquarters in this municipality—the one we all used to call home—and they got back to me pretty quickly. But honestly? They didn't offer a single concrete solution. It was just that classic runaround: "You really need to take this up with our local Town Hall."
☕

Yeah, I thought you meant the County, my bad—totally misunderstood what you were saying there, sorry about that. Honestly, I don't think there's anything coming out of Town Hall.
Joseph Taylor11 said:So, I just sent off another email to the Town Hall Civil Defense—the same one that used to feel like home to all of us.
I also included links to those cases I mentioned earlier, where certain County Emergency Management teams are basically merging different municipalities into one giant blob.

This time, I made sure to mention that—while I’m definitely hoping for a reply—it won't really matter if they choose to ignore me. They'll certainly get my "response" at the ballot box during the next election, though.
☕

I mean, it’s probably the National Command Center calling the shots on this stuff, but hey, there's no harm in reaching out. Maybe if enough people start barking, they'll actually do something. 🙂
So, yesterday the County Emergency Management recommended to the National Command Center that they just merge San Diego, San Jose, and Santa Clarita into one big zone where you wouldn't even need a permit to move around. Honestly, it makes sense because the traffic jams at the Bill roundabout are getting absolutely ridiculous.
Joseph Taylor11 said:A bit? 😉

If they’re going to restrict movement, they need to be crystal clear about it: why, how, and for how long.

Does anyone actually have an answer to any of those questions?

I'm still sitting here waiting to hear or read exactly how long this measure is supposed to last.

☕

That’s exactly what I asked, and I didn't get a single answer from anyone.
Apparently, it stays in effect as long as the authorities feel like it.
So now you're just stuck wondering if you'll be cooped up for one month, two, or three. Honestly, I think we're all gonna lose our minds from the stress before we even catch the virus.
