Bank account frozen: What should I do?
in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Thanks for all the input, everyone...
The money was automatically debited from my account to cover the debt, so if there were any extra fees, they've already been taken out. My local branch told me this is all being handled by the corporate headquarters in New York. They’re claiming they won't release the granular details—even though it's my own damn account—and they just keep pointing us toward Visa's attorneys or their own legal department. Apparently, things are stuck in court somewhere... and honestly, we've been spinning our wheels like this for two months now. It feels incredibly rude and totally unnecessary.
It wasn't even a massive amount of money to begin with. The debt is settled... so I don't see why they need to make such a huge production out of nothing.
