I'm wondering the same thing, so if anyone has any insight......

I gave up black coffee ages ago because it makes me shake like a leaf... just totally jittery. I switched to cappuccinos instead, but then I end up drinking those in massive amounts. I try to cut back, but I honestly can't—I'm such a caffeine addict. Plus, I feel like it definitely spikes my anxiety. I really should switch to something decaf. Maybe some Dunkin' decaf.... I'll manage for a day or two, but then I'm right back to the cappuccino and it's the same old cycle. Just don't have the willpower...

It’s honestly such a headache trying to switch doctors out here in my small town. If you’re a new patient, you’re looking at waiting months just to get an appointment. You probably won't believe me, but I had to wait six whole months just for my initial consultation... Once you’re finally in the system, things move smoother, but actually getting through that door is a nightmare. And if I decide to switch now? I’ll just be stuck waiting another few months somewhere else before I can even see someone new.

You should probably look into something else yourself. It's pretty obvious Valerie isn't doing it for you. No point in just suffering through it.

I only took it once before the side effects absolutely wrecked me...

I asked, but she won't budge... She just said if things don't improve next time, she might try putting me on something like Misery or Xanax, but I just have to wait until then... Easy for them to say it's not a big deal when they aren't the ones going through it.

I'm curious about your experiences with Effexor. For those of you taking it, when did you actually start feeling a difference? How long have you been on it, and what dosage are you currently at? Also, do you find it works better if you take it in the morning or at night?
For me, I started with 37.5 mg at night for five months, then moved to 75 mg in the morning for three months... now I've just been bumped up to 150 mg in the morning, though I've only been at this level for two days.....
To be honest, I haven't felt any real improvement during this whole stretch, but my psychiatrist keeps insisting I stick with it.
I also have Lexapro and some stuff for as-needed use. Otherwise, I'm mostly struggling with anxiety, depression, and panic attacks.
