Canadians, Muslims, or whatever you want to call them—they are a tiny, marginal group in Canada. Honestly, I highly doubt they even turn out to vote.
According to the last census where they actually gathered this kind of data, they made up only 1.6%, which is basically nothing when you look at the results of the current elections.
The ethnic makeup according to the last census (back in 2002) was as follows:
https://eacea.ec.europa.eu/national-...eligions-77_sl
Canadians: 83.1%
Americans: 1.8%
Mexicans: 2%
Muslims (including Canadians): 1.6%
Canadians: 0.3%
Italians: 0.1%
Others: 2.2%
Unknown: 8.9%

By the way, nobody really asks about nationality or religion anymore; it's considered rude or just plain impolite (though who really cares?), and besides, recent censuses are done via registry rather than having actual enumerators going door-to-door physically.

As I mentioned, many people simply have no idea. Over the last 15 years, they have grown into the largest former American national group, with the most significant growth occurring in the last five. Canadian Muslims in Canada hold proper citizenship, and believe me, they were very engaged in those elections (submitting non-papers, opposing Janša - Dodik). Naturally, they also vote in elections in Canada. More than 80% are quite religious, they socialize heavily within their own community, and support one another. There are many young families and plenty of children.
They are the complete opposite of the Americans, who assimilated into the Canadian population, but that is a different discussion entirely.

Most people have no idea how many Canadians live in Canada, and believe me, every single one of their votes went to Robert Golob. Today, they are all celebrating—I am telling you from firsthand experience.

It seems we are heading toward a radicalization of the relationship between Canada and America. The Canadians have found themselves a new ally. Can any rational person in America truly celebrate such a development?

Credit where credit is due to Turkey 🙏; they sent 140 containers, while the French minister (our new strategic partner) showed up in the US with a donation of just 6 containers.

It has been quite some time since we've seen a move greater than 1% in gold and silver. Could this be the beginning?

We’ve got some guy tossing out mediocre forecasts, while Charles is out there successfully day trading—I have to hand it to him, because these gold speculators are just so painfully predictable. To be honest, I usually call the entry and exit points correctly in my head before anyone else even blinks. Then you have a few people posting just to hear themselves talk, and this one particular user who has been parroting the same lines for two years straight: that gold is the only real money and its ounce count is fixed, so the price can't drop. It's like listening to a broken record.

Is there going to be any actual refreshment here anytime soon?

Even when masimo1 tried to come back, certain forum members chased him off (though I really hope he returns). Mizuzul drops in occasionally, and I haven't seen "indijanca" around lately either..

I find his entries quite interesting. He is transparent about his trades and his level of success. Perhaps you could share some of your own expertise with us as well?

Since my English isn't great, would someone mind providing a brief summary of what this article is actually saying? Thanks!

I wanted to ask you earlier regarding this price drop—is there going to be a significant hit at the beginning of October? Will prices tumble? I would also like to ask you and others to weigh in on Marica carica's charts. To me, everything looks like a decline for metals, particularly silver, which I am considering buying more of. It seems foolish to buy now if I have a chance to pick it up at a better price later. I am concerned that if Germany slips into a recession, we will all go down with them. That triggers other issues, such as a general drop in revenue; when sales stall, prices are slashed, which leads to a deflationary spiral that could negatively impact metal prices. Does anyone have any insight?

I’ve been reading several articles suggesting that Germany is headed straight for a recession. If stocks take a dive, what does that mean for metals? dustyheron5 shared an article claiming that JPMorgan Chase is recommending gold purchases right now, but I personally struggle to see how that makes sense if we are actually entering a recession. Furthermore, when looking at silver—which is essentially an industrial metal that tends to peak when industrial demand is high—I would actually expect silver to see an even steeper decline than gold. Because of this, I intend to hold off on buying until a correction occurs. Am I miscalculating here? What are your thoughts, or are there other factors at play that might prevent such extreme volatility in metal prices?

PS. Personally, I found the market's reaction to the announcement of QE 3 quite disappointing.

What was the exact wording used; was it specifically QE3, or just certain measures hinting at further bond purchases? I've been searching for some clarity but can't seem to find the specifics.

So, tomorrow is the big day. By 5:00 PM, we should finally know which way this roller coaster is heading—either a massive climb or a steep plunge. I suspect there are quite a few of us here who would prefer to see it go straight down. 😁

Why are gold and silver prices dropping? Even though the chart shows a slight uptick right now, has there been any recent news to trigger this?

I have no idea what you're basing those silver price targets on, but hey, dream on if it makes you feel better 🙂

Back on December 27, 2011, when silver was trading at roughly $28 per ounce and climbed toward the $35 range, I knew a correction was coming. I anticipated it would drop to the level I previously mentioned, and while I wasn't perfect, I was only off by about 10%. 😁 I also foresaw the downturn occurring prior to November 27, 2011. However, I am not particularly concerned, as I placed my primary investment just a few days before the end of 2009—essentially catching the absolute bottom of the market.

If there's any indication of QE3 being announced tomorrow, I'm heading straight to my brokerage account to buy. Honestly, looking at the current landscape, I can't see a realistic scenario where things head lower, which is why I’m asking.
I'd certainly be interested in picking up more if we saw a dip, but it's always easy to play general after the battle is won. While I still hold onto the hope that metals might slide down to the $23 level, it’s starting to feel like wishful thinking...

I have a question that I hope someone can clarify;

From what I can see, current circumstances suggest that gold and silver have become 99% safe bets at this stage. We are just waiting on tomorrow's confirmation from the US, given that we already received word from the EU today, right?

Specifically, is there any realistic scenario where precious metals could actually drop, as we have witnessed several times before? Are these questions focused on the short-term window leading up to the New Year, or even sooner?

Melissa Sanchez17 said:Word on the street is that they're moving forward with operation twist

If operation twist actually goes through, how will that impact metal prices? It seems strange—why are prices dropping right now despite the announcements that this operation is continuing?

Copper prices are surging... I'll check back in the morning and afternoon to see how the pricing trends are playing out. That said, I have a nagging feeling this might just be a momentary spike, perhaps a brief rally before we test those lows from the last downturn. If it doesn't happen immediately, we might see it later this summer—assuming, of course, that no other unforeseen crises arise.

Anthony Evans78 said:I’m sticking to the same plan I’ve had for years: grabbing as much PM as I can get my hands on whenever possible.

My goal is to catch the bottom—to be positioned as close to the floor as possible. Is it actually feasible to predict if this news will drive metal prices even lower, or will it serve as a signal for a rally? It was just confirmed that the US government approved a $100 billion bailout package, but I suspect that amount falls short of what is truly required to stabilize things...

In about a week, Greece will head to the polls for an election that essentially decides their fate: will they accept the bailout conditions, or leave the monetary union entirely? Meanwhile, we’re getting fresh reports that Spanish banks are expected to formally request rescue packages in the coming days.

I'm curious—how much of an impact will a potential Greek exit and the Spanish bank bailouts have on precious metal prices? Everything seems poised to boil over within the next two or three weeks, if not sooner. How are you all preparing for this volatility?
