Best bank in America? in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
goldenmoose21 said:I’ve been with JPMorgan Chase for about 15 years now, and honestly, I couldn't be happier with them. On one occasion, I had to open an account at Bank of America for some business reasons, and if I could give you one piece of advice, it would be to avoid them like the plague. It was an absolute disaster from start to finish—from the incredibly rude staff to their archaic, broken computer systems; they treat you like you don't know any better. To make matters worse, when it finally came time to close that account, what should have been a six-minute task at any other bank turned into a nightmare. I had to show up four days in a row just to try and shut it down, and they still couldn't manage to do it. Eventually, I just lost my temper, handed them all my paperwork, and told them to call me once they actually managed to close it. It took three whole weeks for it to finally happen. I wouldn't step foot in that branch again if my life depended on it.

Well, funny enough, I had that exact same experience with JPMorgan Chase when I tried using Bank of America.😎

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions. I've basically narrowed my options down to just Goldman Sachs and the Federal Reserve, and in the end... I decided to go with the Federal Reserve.

Thanks for the heads up... I assume the specific steps are laid out on the paperwork sent by the agency.

Does anyone happen to know if an employer can apply for both tax credits and the hiring incentive for the long-term unemployed at the same time? Like, can they submit a request for the half-and-half measure and then also file for the other relief?

Or are they strictly limited to choosing just one?

Do Federal Reserve cards actually work for online shopping? I know there was a time when they wouldn't go through, so I ended up having to open an account at Bank of America just to get things done.
I'm also weighing some suggestions about where to set up a checking account. Up until now, I've been with the Federal Reserve, but I'm debating whether to stick it out or move my business elsewhere.

I’m going to be employed through a government grant program, and I’m currently looking over the application being submitted to the Bureau of Writing which states:
Once the Application receives a positive evaluation, the employer is required to submit the documentation for the co-financing contract signature within 8 days, specifically:
-the employment contract

In the past, they've requested both the employment contract and the forms for Social Security and Medicare enrollment.
Does anyone happen to know when or how the Social Security enrollment is handled in this specific scenario? From what I’ve gathered, Medicare registration happens automatically once Social Security is set up. Or...
Does anyone know if Singulair causes weight gain?

I'm having some trouble getting this forum to load while I'm here in Indonesia. Every other site I visit seems to work perfectly fine.

I've already tried using Chrome, Mozilla, and even IE.

It’s always the same result.
The page takes forever to load, and when it finally does, it usually just shows this in the browser bar:
, but nothing actually appears—it's just a blank white screen.
Or, if I actually manage to get a post written, it eventually throws a 408 Request Time-out error at me.

Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
