I haven't gone through the whole thread—honestly, I just don't have the energy for it—but when things start spiraling like this, you really never know. It could be anyone’s poor judgment or a string of bad choices, sure, but I’ve seen plenty of people where nothing just seems to click, no matter how hard they try. It’s like they're carrying some kind of heavy cloud over them. Whether you believe in curses, dark energies, or just plain old bad luck, there's no need to spiral into a panic. My best advice? Go talk to some clergy. Reach out to someone at a local parish, maybe check in with the folks over at the Archdiocese in Chicago, or perhaps look into those Franciscan monasteries out in the Midwest; they usually have websites you can browse. As for all those meditation apps and mindfulness trends, I’m not so sure how much they'll actually move the needle for you. Just give what I suggested a shot if you feel like it. You won't hurt yourself by trying.

Wait, what exactly is Kobudo? And where on earth were you practicing street fighting?
I realize I’m probably not asking the right question here, and I certainly don't claim to be an expert in any martial art... but still, I have to ask.
Could someone walk me through the essence of Wing Chun? I'm looking for some real insight—first impressions, the core philosophy, the absolute essentials. To be honest, I’m not even sure how to frame the question properly because my knowledge is pretty surface-level; I’ve spent a little time scrolling through clips online, but I’d much rather hear from someone who actually lives it, based on real experience in the gym.
Anyone around here currently training Wing Chun, and if so, what’s the actual vibe like? I’m curious about how the techniques hold up in practice.
I know it’s hardly a definitive metric, but I still find myself wanting to ask—how effective is that skill actually when you're out on the street? I'd love to hear some thoughts or real-world perspectives on this.
