Aetna supplemental insurance in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Richard Moore53 said:Aetna won't budge on the price. I gave them a call because I’m planning to switch over from Medicare myself, but I'm still trying to wrap my head around how their cancellation process actually works.

Yeah, I looked closer at the fine print and it says Medicare is raising the supplemental rates. It would be standard practice for any change in major contract terms to allow you to opt out of your current policy. When I reached out to Aetna, they walked me through the whole procedure. Still, it's in their best interest to keep things vague. 🙂 Your best bet is to call them directly so they can explain the exact steps for your specific situation.
Honestly, I had some trouble getting straight answers from Aetna until I started making a scene. I don't get why dealing with these companies in this country is always such a headache. 🙂

I’m struggling to wrap my head around this. Honestly, a lot of things don't make sense to me. I used to have Aetna supplemental coverage, but after dealing with their sheer rudeness and sub-par service, I switched over to the private plan. Now, I’m seeing announcements that supplemental premiums are going up.
Does this mean my current provider is going to hike my rates too? And if they do, do I actually have the right to cancel my contract? I signed on specifically for the price of $22, so it feels wrong to be locked into a deal while they reserve the right to jack up the cost whenever they feel like it—not to mention likely cutting corners on service quality at the same time.
Hormonal Contraception: The Pill [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
Hey,
I’ve been a "patient" on Triquilar for about 12 or 13 years now. Is there anyone else out there who’s been on pills for that long? Personally, they work great. No side effects, though I did put on a few pounds back when I first started—but honestly, I needed it. I stay on top of my checkups and everything looks fine. My only real fear is STOPPING them; I think I might be dependent. 🙂 Plus, I’m not even sure I’d want to get pregnant right now.
P.S. When I went to pick up my prescription recently, my gynecologist actually asked if Triquilar was still even a thing, since he hasn't prescribed it in years. 🙂
