26-year-old woman from the Midwest—originally from a smaller town, but settled in the heartland now—looking to make some new connections. Honestly, I tend to hang out with guys more often; I grew up around them, so I’m used to their sense of humor and our shared love for gaming. That said, I’d really love to find a girl to chat with—someone to dive into "girl talk" with. It’s been way too long since I’ve had that kind of female friendship.
I love: cats, dragons, fantasy novels, horror movies, art, horses (and riding!), and lounging by the pool. 😁
What I don't like: two-faced people—mostly women who play games and act cold once they get what they want—and I definitely hate being misunderstood. I actually lost my best friend because she chose her boyfriend over me after we had a falling out.
Regarding zodiac signs, I seem to always be surrounded by Virgos. 😁
Hey there.👋
Larry Ortiz5 said:Your buddy is spot on. Honestly, this feels about 99% like a GPU issue. For a quick fix, try opening the case and using some canned air to blow out the dust—if the card is overheating, that’ll definitely mess with your image. You could also try a clean reinstall of your graphics drivers. If none of that works, the ultimate test is to pop that card into another PC; if the same thing happens there, then yeah, it’s time to say goodbye to that card.
But why would this happen? It's just a mid-range setup.
-Intel Core i7 955 Proc 4 CPUs ~3.2 GHz
-8 GB RAM
GPU:
-NVIDIA GeForce GTX series, I think it's 1 GB—it's a decent enough machine for now; nothing crazy, but it was solid five years ago... and now the video card is dying on me. I'm looking at spending maybe $110 right about now to replace it. 🤦
Everything seems fine normally—I can browse the web, stream shows, or watch movies without any issues. Last year, I downloaded Dragon Age: Origins and played it briefly, but I didn't really get into it at the time. Now that I'm actually in the mood to play, I try to launch the game, but after about five minutes, the screen just goes black. The indicator light changes from green to yellow and then red, though the computer itself stays running. A friend suggested my graphics card might be dying on me, but maybe you all know a bit more about what's actually going on here. 🤷🕺🙂
I have a question—my gynecologist actually took me off birth control pills because my cholesterol levels spiked. I recently had some follow-up blood work done, and the numbers have improved since then. On top of that, I’m taking epilepsy medication and a few other things where an unplanned pregnancy is absolutely out of the question—not that I’d want one right now, honestly. So, is it possible for me to ask my doctor to prescribe contraception again, even if it's at my own risk?
Since I haven't had kids, I'm wondering if there are other reliable options out there. I've read about things like the IUD, injections, and all that, but it's all a bit fuzzy to me. It feels like those options might be more for women who've already given birth?
Can anyone help?
