Small debt collection: Is it worth suing? in Criminal and Misdemeanor Law ·
Look, I’m really not a fan of people playing vigilante or taking justice into their own hands.
If that con artist you're chasing actually had any backbone, he would’ve just stabbed you or knocked you out, then claimed self-defense because you kicked his door down uninvited. And if he were even half as smart as he thinks he is, he’d just hand you over to the cops on a silver platter with a heavy-duty charge for extortion and kidnapping.
Go around acting like that in the States, and you'll end up with a bullet in your head before you can blink.
That’s just not how this works. Don't go egging people on to do something they'll spend the rest of their lives regretting. This isn't anarchy; we have police, courts, and lawyers for a reason. If everyone decided to settle debts by breaking and entering, the whole country would be pure chaos. Besides, who’s to say that guy won't turn the tables on you one day? You break into his place, humiliate him, and suddenly you're the one getting shanked or shot.
Sure, these guys might be scammers and lowlifes, but people acting like you aren't much better. To bust into someone's house wearing a mask, throw them down the stairs, and tie them up... honestly, you'd have to be tripping or just completely unhinged to think that's okay.
Luckily, most people aren't like that. Most folks handle their business without the threats, the violence, or the home invasions. It's just that small group of criminals and psychos—and we all know what kind of mental state those people are in.

Personally, if I knew anyone out there trying to play hero like that, I’d be the first one calling the cops to shut them down.

So, Kentaurus, what am I looking at here? You trying to play Rambo, some kind of elite debt collector, and now you’re subtly pitching your services on this board? 🤣 Like some SWAT team tactical entry, kicking down doors and storming houses in the middle of the night. 😂
Even if you actually are that kind of guy, you’ve gotta realize there’s a massive risk involved. For all you know, that debtor could pull a gun on you or just absolutely lose it on you—maybe even catch you slipping. It’s just basic logic; you never truly know what’s going through the head of some lunatic wearing tactical gear who decides to bust through your front door at 3 AM.
Honestly, thinking like that just proves you’re a bigger bottom-feeder than the con artist you’re defending. To you, a person's life and safety don't mean a damn thing compared to a pile of cash.
You’ve clearly watched way too many action flicks. Chill out. If that's how you actually carry yourself in the real world, you're either gonna end up in an obituary or behind bars in a federal prison.

Look, if you borrowed money, that’s on you. You didn't bother to check who you were dealing with, and now you’re crying about it.
I don't trust anyone based on a pretty face, let alone give them $1.75, much less anything substantial.
Should security vehicles use blue flashing lights? in Criminal and Misdemeanor Law ·
Look, there are these rapid response security teams out there working 24/7, jumping on calls for robberies, break-ins, or any kind of property damage. I actually work as one of those interceptors myself, so I know exactly how this job goes down.

In my opinion, we really need blue light strobes on our units. It’s about being able to get to the scene fast and actually having a fighting chance at catching a suspect during a pursuit.

Right now, we’re stuck using yellow lights on our vehicles, which honestly feels pretty useless—they don't really change anything in traffic. Given what we do, we should have blue lights so other drivers actually pull over, giving us the right of way and the ability to clear red lights when we're in the middle of an emergency or a chase.

So, what’s the consensus here? Do you guys think us security responders should be rocking blue lights?
