My parents used to tell me that when I was just learning to walk, I’d be walking perfectly steady if I just had a clothespin to hold onto. If they took that clothespin away, I’d immediately start grabbing onto the furniture for dear life. Back then, I truly believed that little clothespin was my ultimate anchor. 😁
For weeks leading up to it, he kept making this "br...br...br" sound... we honestly thought he was imitating a car engine, but it turned out he was actually trying to say "br...o...good." 🙂
Oh, and kids always go "vroom vroom," right? Typical little boys. My youngest's very first word was "ta-ta"—I actually have it recorded! I was just sitting there working on my computer while holding him in my lap.
Look, we Americans are big fans of babies, but I have to ask, Grace Anderson3—did Hans not teach you a thing or two about sex in your American lessons?
Forget about German. Let the little baby master American English first, then we can worry about teaching him German later. Just imagine if his very first word was "mutter" or "Hans" instead of "Mommy."

It isn't even my first time—I've had plenty of friends where I ended up just taking their kid to hold because sitting there listening to that noise was pure torture. Eventually, all the Babies fell asleep. 😁
Some people have this grand theory like, "Oh, the Baby will just fall asleep on its own once they finish their little tantrum." 🐔 To me, that sounds incredibly cold-hearted. The Baby was perfectly happy snuggling against me, and then suddenly, everyone's like, "Oh no, they felt the warmth of being held, now we're stuck carrying them..." and who knows how long that lasts? A year? Babies aren't stupid. And honestly, who wouldn't want to carry them when they smell that good? 🙂
It looks like it's time for you to start having some Babies; that maternal instinct is clearly kicking in.

If you ask me, Hans is probably going to drink himself silly just out of pure joy over having a grandchild.
