It isn't just me; they aren't interested in anyone else either. It’s always the same excuse—that they just aren't looking for anyone right now. That's what the group above was saying.

I don't post anything inappropriate or provocative, but I definitely am. Take my word for it. I really need someone by my side to help me get back on my feet. It honestly bothers me when you all insist he's lying just because he claims he isn't seeing anyone right now.

Then they can claim they don't want to be with me specifically, or that they don't want to be with anyone at all—it’s not my fault. I am certain of that. But honestly, I just don't have the mental capacity to get over it right now.

I really need to understand why he won't commit to anyone. Honestly, being with him just leaves me feeling completely drained; I feel like my brain has been wiped clean and I'm not even the same person anymore.

Every single time I try to move on, you aren't there for me, and honestly, I don't feel like being with anyone else either. Is it even normal that he completely broke my spirit? I ended up walking away at 25 because I just lost all interest in men entirely.

So what’s my issue here? He’s just as much to blame. If I were a man and he knew that, I wouldn't be hanging out with someone who wants to be with me when I don't feel the same way about him. He'd find someone else instead.

I am being completely serious here.

I'm thinking about getting my life in order. I have some things to sort out first, so I’ll wait until I hit 40. If I haven't made progress by then, well, it won't matter anyway. I want to try to conceive.

Honestly, I can’t wrap my head around why he chose to be alone. He keeps insisting that being single is better, telling me I'm just being "boring" about it, and then doubling down by saying he's done with everyone. I just don't have the strength to pull the plug on this completely right now, yet it's crystal clear we can't even be friends. I wish I could just move on, but

I'm 25, and he's 37.

I’m staying, but... Alain Zanna made a great point above. If he knows I’ve already become emotionally attached, he should end things right now to keep it fair play. Instead, he keeps pulling me back in. Honestly, I don't think he's actually okay with calling it quits. He keeps calling me just to check in, even after I've turned down his attempts at meeting up or getting intimate. I find it hard to believe someone can act this way well into their 40s...

Nope, she told me she isn't interested in being in a relationship with me—she says she doesn't want to be with anyone right now.

He could have easily found someone much more interesting or compatible by age four. It’s not like every woman rejected him. And I definitely agree—he’s been playing games.
Plus, he has plenty of other options, yet he won't commit to any of them; at this rate, he could be single until he's forty. I actually feel bad for him. He's doing fine on his own, but if he actually found someone else, I'd finally have proof that his issues aren't just about me, but about how he treats everyone.

On top of all that, there's an 80 percent chance they're dealing with narcissistic personality disorder, based on how they act.

It isn't exactly as honest as it seems. If she actually agreed to make it a formal relationship, things might change. I can't help but wonder if she'll still be stuck in this cycle by the time she hits 40. It’s truly a shame.

People act like we have some kind of special status, even though I don’t think we actually do. For quite a while, I kept him at arm's length sexually because I really wanted to create some distance between us. When I asked him what was stopping him from being in a committed relationship with me, he just said, "I don't want to be with anyone, period." I countered with, "So you're not going to commit to one person?" and he insisted he wouldn't. He says things will stay exactly like this forever. If he's happy with this setup, then fine—he can do whatever he wants. Personally, I might be open to certain things, but not if we're labeling it an actual relationship. At this rate, I'll be single until I'm 40...

I’m hopeful we’ll see some actual change, but judging by how things have played out so far, I’ll probably just be stuck at 40 forever.

I have zero interest in finding someone else. Honestly, men have completely soured the whole idea for me.
