And why is it always about saving him with you?
Maybe, just for once, try thinking about yourself?
So, ditching the cookies and chocolate.🤔
I cut out regular vegetable oils and switched to olive oil. No more chips or puffs for me.
Then I picked up some flaxseed oil—just one small spoonful in the morning and one at night... could be with some low-fat feta, a salad, or just straight.
As for Omega supplements, I've been taking those pills for years.
I actually bought some lard because of a recipe, but I haven't even opened the container. I got my lab results back and saw my cholesterol numbers. I didn't dare touch it.
I'll redo the blood work in two or three weeks, then I'll let you guys know how it looks.
I've always trimmed the fat off my meat. I don't have any extra weight to speak of; the only thing I "drown" in is creamy pastries. Honestly, seeing those high cholesterol levels was a bit of a shock.
I’ve been falling down a rabbit hole reading everything I can find, so I figured I'd ask: is a cholesterol level of 6.9 actually cause for concern?
From what I’ve gathered online, doctors usually start talking about medication once you hit 7.0.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Can someone please walk me through this and give me some advice?
I went in for some lab work just to see where I stand.
Decided it was time for a routine checkup since I hit 50, especially with a desk job and zero exercise in my life.
Started with the lab work.
My hematology and urine tests came back completely normal.
Biochemistry results:
Cholesterol 6.9 (<5.0)
Triglycerides 0.7 (<1.7)
Bilirubin 15 (3- 20)
AST 31 (8- 30)
ALT 30 (10-36)
AMS 92 (23-91)
(S)CK 268 (<153)
Abdomen looks fine, EKG is normal, blood pressure is normal.
What am I supposed to do about this cholesterol?
And the CK?
Thanks in advance.
