People turn to competition, conflict, envy, and division because they feel threatened and inadequate—all because they lack any real awareness of who they truly are. Driven by an immature ego, people live in constant fear of missing out or losing ground. They fail to realize that, at our core, we are all essentially one. There is no actual threat. This leads to a terror of letting go, which is really just a fear of the unknown. The ego doesn't know what lies ahead, so it finds it easier to follow that primal instinct: fight, or be conquered.
Only when an individual becomes self-aware—when they awaken the part of themselves that transcends that immature ego and recognizes their true potential—can they finally find peace. Once you realize you aren't being threatened by anyone, the envy and defensiveness vanish. You start seeing others as fellow beings with the exact same potential. That’s when the drive toward unity, connection, and true community actually begins.
