Greetings. I am unsure if this is the appropriate forum for my inquiry, but I am seeking some guidance regarding starting a small family farm. My family and I are completely new to this endeavor. We have already secured a plot of land, but we have encountered a significant hurdle: the acreage is less than one acre. From what I have gathered through my research, federal agricultural grants and subsidies often require a larger minimum acreage to qualify. Is there perhaps a specific strategy or a way to navigate the regulations to secure assistance for a smaller operation?
