It’s about the incentives, sure, but mostly it's about finding a specific niche. There's too much work out there already, and I don't want to waste my life chasing the wrong leads. Dealing with agencies is a joke—everyone gives you a different answer about the exact same thing. Same goes for the local zoning office when you're trying to get land designated for a campground or an RV park...
If a plot of land is registered as forest, does it count toward the Family Farm requirements? I’ve got a few olive groves I’m trying to get back in shape. It’s going to take some time since they’re out on an island and pretty neglected right now. We’re looking to start a Family Farm. A lot of my plots don't qualify yet because they're under 500 m2. I'll need time to build them up to the 10,000 m2 mark... Does anyone have advice or thoughts on how to actually make those scrubby areas—full of blackberry bushes and pine—functional for this?
