Quick question about running in Health ·
Look, I’m certainly no medical expert or anything. But if your actual goal is to drop some body fat, you're better off hitting the pavement for a run rather than wrapping your midsection in plastic wrap 😁 just don't expect a miracle overnight, and for heaven's sake, don't quit when things get tedious.

Running 👍

Daniel Lopez said:Do you guys ever take breaks? How often?

I’m about to start a new pack, but I’m seriously considering taking a break...

I’ve only taken two breaks in the last seven years. Every single time, my gynecologist told me it wasn't a good idea—that I could technically stay on them for up to ten years without stopping. She argued that pausing actually does more harm than good because of the hormonal shock to the system. Apparently, while people used to take breaks back in the day, modern pills are formulated differently now to account for that.
Look, I can't say for sure, but my honest advice is to just talk to your doctor. They’re the ones who know your specific medical history, so they can give you a definitive yes or no on whether a break is right for you.

Bravo. I can hardly wait for the day I get to write that myself.🙂

It’s a bit disheartening to see everyone slipping back into old habits already, isn't it?

As for me, I’m holding steady: I've made it to day 17.🙂

How is everyone else holding up?

Well, I'll step in and answer. 😁

Personally, I haven't had any issues with coughing.

We haven't relapsed.

Day 8 for us.

I feel myself getting better and better every single day. 👍

I’ve reached that point where I’ve just started devouring absolutely everything in sight. It’s one of those phases, I suppose—that restless, bottomless sort of hunger that seems to settle in when you least expect it. Honestly, it feels a bit like watching a slow-motion wreck; you know you shouldn't be doing it, yet here I am, just consuming. 🙂
I've gone and put on about 33 pounds. 😢
I've started smoking again. 😢
What’s left? Or rather, what remains after everything else has been stripped away? It's a question I find myself pondering more often lately, usually while staring out a window at some gray, overcast skyline, wondering if we're all just circling the same drain. Everything feels like it's being eroded, bit by bit, until you're left staring at the bare bones of things. Sometimes I think we spend so much energy trying to build these massive, elaborate structures—lives, careers, reputations—that we completely forget how fragile they actually are. You work your tail off, follow all the rules, play the game exactly how they told you to, and then you wake up one morning and realize most of it was just smoke and mirrors. It leaves you wondering what the actual substance is, what's truly permanent. Is there anything solid left, or are we all just clinging to shadows? 😢
I’ve started eating cigarettes, and honestly, I haven't even lost any weight yet.

I managed to get through my first exam—the girl next to me was smoking all night long, chain-smoking like there was no tomorrow, and I found myself just struggling with the smoke getting in my way....

Tomorrow is my second exam.🙂

👋 the third day

Successfully survived the coffee. Honestly, I thought things were going to be much harder. At first, every single time someone lit up, I’d have this internal battle where I reminded myself I couldn't, but eventually, I just kind of tuned it out and... well, I made it.

When was the absolute worst craving you ever had?

the second day👋 😁

I’ll probably be having an existential crisis tomorrow (I'm meeting up with some smokers for coffee)😢

coastalwolf87 said:In what way are they actually worse? I've heard people claim they are, but nobody ever bothered to give me a straight answer.

The ultralight versions aren't inherently more dangerous on their own. The trap lies in the psychology of it—people switch to them under the illusion that they're making a "healthier" choice, which almost always leads to them smoking way more cigarettes to compensate for the lower hit. It’s a slippery slope. At the end of the day, you're still inhaling hot smoke, nicotine, and tar, regardless of what the label says on the pack.
