Tanning beds in Health ·
You really have to make sure you strip everything off first—it’s honestly best to just go in right before you hop in the shower—and definitely don't go applying any lotions or oils beforehand. Once you're done with the tanning bed, just slather on a really nourishing moisturizer and you're good to go.
Yesterday, this girl ahead of me in the high-speed vertical bed actually felt faint... she was on the very first day of her period and decided that was the perfect time to hit the tanning salon😲... I mean, I could hardly believe it!
But seriously, it gets so incredibly hot in there. I'm honestly not sure if I'll be able to power through a full 10 minutes next time... though, at the end of the day, I know I can always just jump out whenever I need to.😉

So, I finally treated myself to a tanning session yesterday... my first time ever trying out one of those standing booths, and let me tell you, it was definitely "turbo" 😲—which honestly feels like a pretty accurate description because I was sweating bullets in there!
Since my skin is super sensitive, I only stayed in for about 5 minutes (paid $8.25)... but I’m actually heading back again tomorrow. I think I might just stick to 5-minute increments for a while, though—I’m honestly not sure if I could even handle being in there for a full 10 minutes 😉

I am seriously counting down the days until summer and just lounging out on the beach! 👏

Honestly, I wouldn't mind if things were always like this—getting a little three-day getaway every two months—it’d be a total dream!😁 ..but I guess that's just proof that my body has a really hard time adjusting to any kind of new routine.
I actually stopped taking them specifically because I wanted to give myself a little "break" and clear all those pills out of my system... I even had the Advil ready and everything... I was fully expecting to be unable to stop the pain once it started 😉 ...but then, lo and behold... nothing at all!

George Wilson95 said:I've actually taken a break twice in the last seven years, and both times my OB-GYN told me it wasn't a great idea—basically saying I could stay on my pills for up to ten years without stopping, and that taking breaks can actually shock the system. They mentioned that while people used to take breaks back in the day, modern formulations are "better" designed to handle continuous use.
Honestly, I'm not an expert or anything, but if I were you, I'd just check in with your own doctor. They know your specific health history best and can give you the real deal on whether a break is a good move for you or not.

I was on Cilest for about a year and three months—everything went pretty smoothly for the most part, though I did notice my breasts felt extra sensitive at first, my skin got a little oilier, and I dealt with some extra cellulite 😲 —but luckily, everything leveled out and went back to normal quite quickly.
Fast forward to two months ago: I decided to try taking a break. Well, my next period didn't show up until day 33, and when it finally arrived, it was super light and only lasted three days. Now, it’s been about 40 days since that one, and I’m still waiting for my cycle to return.
It feels like my body is definitely in a bit of a "shock" phase... so I was wondering, has anyone else gone through something similar? Any idea how long it usually takes for things to settle back into their old rhythm?

P.S.—pregnancy is ruled out; I already took a quick three-minute test. 😁
