Got an answer. She told me it’ll take at least 14 days, and we won't know if it's actually 100% until after the first cycle. So, great. 😁

Because I already called my OB-GYN and told her the situation, only for her to tell me protection "most likely" doesn't kick in for two weeks. Then, when I asked another doctor, she said there’s zero protection during the first cycle. So, I’m just trying to figure out if anyone else actually ended up pregnant or not🙄?

And regarding Triquillar, I end up paying $40 for it, $9.75

Does anyone actually know when these pills kick in? Like, does it take a full two weeks to settle in, or is the entire cycle just a wash? 🤷

I’m asking because I read this: ''If you start your pill at any other time of your cycle, it will take a week for the contraceptive action to take effect - so you should abstain or use alternative contraception (e.g. condoms) for that first week.''

Has anyone dealt with something similar?

I’ve been digging through various websites and now I’m just totally confused. I’m dealing with a bit of an urgent situation here, and if my period hits right now, things are going to get messy.
Hey, can I start taking birth control even if I'm not on my period right now? I haven't been on them for over a month, so I'm wondering—do I strictly have to wait until day one of my cycle, or is there another way to start?🤷😕

Hormonal Contraception: The Pill [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
Sorry, I wasn't sure where to post this, and I can't seem to open that thread above. Anyway, I'm done with my break from Yasmin and need to get back on the pill. (It was a month-long break, and I didn't get my period). I'm wondering how long it took you guys to stop using condoms? Was it two days, a week? Just asking for info, because I honestly can't deal with condoms anymore—they've become totally revolting to me...
Hormonal Contraception: The Pill [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
Need some advice. I’ve been taking Yasmin for about a year and a half and everything was fine—until I hit this "off week." My doctor suggested it was a good idea, but a younger specialist my cousin knows mentioned it might be unnecessary given my hormone levels. Regardless, during this past week and a half, my mood swings have become absolutely unhinged. I’m either weeping in a corner or feeling totally euphoric. It’s exhausting. Has anyone else dealt with this? Should I just start the next pack tomorrow, or wait out the full three weeks? Honestly, I don't know how I'm going to survive the wait...😢😢 I was following the schedule, 21 days on, and now I'm 9 days into the break... should I just start the new pack tomorrow? Please help...😢😢😢
