Rhinoplasty recovery: What to expect? in Health ·
@lonemason10/">@@lonemason10 what did your nose actually look like before? What was the goal—just smoothing out a bump or lifting the tip?
Did you show the surgeon any reference photos to explain the look you were going for??

I get that you went in for functional reasons too—to finally breathe properly—but I'm more curious about the aesthetic side. What exactly were they fixing for you 😉

Good luck, Peter Young!

What exactly is the issue with your nose? What are you planning to fix?

I feel for you, rustyheron22. 😢

What happened? Did someone get a little too full of themselves with you?

This is how Americans do it. If I knew it would turn out like this, I would’ve gone straight for a revision. My nose is pretty much the same shape as hers—except I don't have the bump
But it's just as droopy as hers is

The front looks great—you can barely even see the bridge lines

Why can't our surgeons pull this off?

Yeah, it actually seems easier to work on "thick" noses—think someone like Pišek or Leila. You just fix the shape and call it a day.

But when you try to lift a drooping nose, most of the time it ends up looking pretty hideous.

That’s why I’m terrified to touch my nose at all. From the front, it holds up okay, and the profile isn't terrible either.
The problem is whenever I smile, everything falls apart. I don't even know how to describe it—it's like it becomes a completely different nose. 🤷
It flares out at the bottom and drops down, which totally ruins my face. It's enough to make me hate smiling. 😢

Still, I'd rather deal with that than look like a pig. 😉

I see everyone raving about Blankin's nose, but personally, I’m not feeling it at all..
In my view, she went way too far with the lift—it's so exaggerated that the nostrils are basically the main event now..
Given her facial structure, that overly upturned look just doesn't work—but hey, that's just my two cents.😉

Honestly, whenever I see surgeons overdo it on those drooping noses, it completely kills any interest I have in getting surgery myself.☕

Can anyone recommend a decent dentist in Miami? Ideally someone who accepts Medicare

I just need someone patient—not arrogant, not a scammer, and actually competent... So far, my luck has been pretty nonexistent😢 😢

thanks everyone
Hormonal Contraception: The Pill [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
Benjamin Thomas8 said:I stopped taking Yasmin back in month five (though I had been on them for about nine months total).
Around month six or seven, my legs started swelling up, and honestly, they’re still swollen to this day.🙄
Recently, I also noticed some swelling on one side of my neck, both in the front and the back.🙄
I went ahead and got my thyroid hormone levels checked, and everything came back within the normal range.🙂
My kidney ultrasound was fine, too, and I don't have any heart issues.🙂
Then, just in the last month, my hair started falling out way more aggressively than usual.😢

Is there any way these could be lingering side effects from Yasmin, even though I quit taking them back in month five?!?!?!?!?!???????????? 🤷😕😕

🙂

I quit drinking Yasim about six months ago—same deal here. My legs swelled up like crazy; honestly, they started pitting even while I was still taking it.
I’ve noticed my hair’s been thinning out lately—not exactly the news I wanted to deal with.
Could hair loss be tied to hormones—maybe thyroid issues?

Gotta go get my hormone levels checked again—back to square one. While I was actually taking them, everything looked fine on paper—tests were coming back clean and all that. Now? Not so much. 😢

Driven by nothing but pure greed, they end up becoming obnoxious and downright rude
Honestly, if I ever decided to get a nose job, I wouldn't even know who to trust
Most of them strike me as total egomaniacs who couldn't care less about what the patient actually wants
Ever since I started reading this thread, I’ve been having nightmares—waking up in a cold sweat thinking some surgeon botched my surgery and left me with half a nose or looking absolutely hideous
I can only imagine how it feels for people who ended up with a nose they never asked for, or worse, someone messed up so badly they can't even breathe properly
Pure horror
My advice? Stay far away from those loudmouthed little doctors who spend all their time flaunting themselves on the red Carpet

Does anyone happen to know which surgeon Lejla Šehović went to for her nose job?
I remember reading in an interview somewhere that she doesn't regret it at all and is actually pretty happy with the results.
Personally, I think her nose looks great—though I can't say the same for some of those other celebrities out there.
