Period talk: Questions and advice in Women's Health ·
ambergardener24 said:Hey there, I’ve got a quick question for the group...
Look, I usually have a pretty predictable cycle, but things have been acting completely bizarre lately. A few nights ago, I noticed this tiny bit of spotting, then nothing at all the next day. Then, sure enough, by that evening, there was a little more, only for it to vanish again the following day. Now, here I am, experiencing these tiny little bursts of bleeding only in the evenings—and honestly, it’s so minimal that I haven't even bothered with a pad. I can't even begin to count this as my actual period.
Has anyone else dealt with something like this before? 😕
Does this mean I can expect the next one to actually pack a punch, or was this current one just a total dud? 😕
Thanks in advance!

My summer went exactly the same way, and honestly, it was just as disorienting when mine arrived about ten days early. I spent a good chunk of time feeling completely thrown off by the timing, but I decided to just hold out for my next cycle, and once that showed up, everything finally settled back into its normal rhythm.

It’s likely just some minor glitch or a temporary hiccup in the system, but honestly, if I were in your shoes, I wouldn't just sit around waiting for it to fix itself—I’d head down to the clinic and get a professional opinion just to be safe.

But, I'm assuming that if we're using condoms combined with the pull-out method, fertility levels remain exactly the same as they were before starting the pill??
Dealing with bad cramps? in Women's Health ·
I deal with some seriously intense pain, especially during the first day of my period...
For about six months, I was on Yasmin, and back then, the cramps weren't nearly as brutal; honestly, there were even times when I didn't feel the need to reach for any painkillers at all.
But, to be blunt, I’ve decided I’m done with birth control pills for now because reading about all those potential side effects really spooked me, so I’m bracing myself for the reality that the pain will likely come rushing back...
When it does, I'll just have to go back to relying on Advil or Aleve, which are pretty much the only things that actually touch this kind of pain for me, so you might want to give those a shot since they work wonders in my experience.

Oh, don't you worry about it, they'll be here eventually....

I’ve been wondering lately—does fertility actually spike once you finally stop taking birth control? I’m talking about that window in the following month, two months, maybe three... what does that look like realistically?

I have a question for you all!
I was on Yasmin for about six months, but then I decided to take a month-long break—just a total pause from everything. Now that the month is up, I’m supposed to start taking Logest.
Does that mean I need to start the first pill on the very first day my period arrives??
