So, I figured I’d weigh in with my own situation. I was on Yasmin birth control for a while, but after all that drama surrounding them, I stopped. It’s been three months since then, and my period has come every month—usually a 30 to 34-day cycle. This month, I was expecting it around the 13th. However, I had unprotected sex on the 2nd and 3rd... My stomach is cramping, I’m feeling nauseous (haven't actually thrown up yet), and my temperature has been hovering between 98.6 and 99 degrees every day. Mood swings, too. And I’m eating way more than usual lately. I’m also hitting the bathroom every 3 or 4 hours, and I have to get up at least once a night to pee. Well, I took a test this morning, and it was negative. For the last 3 or 4 days, I've had this brown discharge, but I have no idea what's causing it. Should I just wait a few days to see if my period actually shows up? If it doesn't, should I try testing again or something? I don't know if it's just too early for a test to pick anything up, especially if I’m already 2 or 3 weeks along. I'm really looking for some advice here... I'm terrified of taking any medication in case I actually am pregnant. Thanks.

Thought I’d jump in here and share what I’m dealing with. I was on Yasmin for about a year, but after some issues with them, I stopped. It’s been three months since then, and my period has been coming every month—cycles usually run about 30 to 34 days. Well, it was supposed to start on the 13th, but I had unprotected sex on the 1st and 2nd... Now my stomach is cramping, I’m feeling nauseous (though nothing yet), and my temperature has been hovering between 98.6 and 99 degrees every day. My moods are all over the place, and I’ve been eating way more than usual lately. Plus, I’m hitting the bathroom every 3 or 4 hours, and I’m definitely waking up at least once a night to go. I took a test this morning, but it came back negative. Should I just wait a few days to see if my period actually shows up? If it doesn't, should I try testing again? I’m not sure if it’s too early for a test to catch anything, even though if I am pregnant, it would be about 2 or 3 weeks along. I’d really appreciate some advice... I’m terrified of taking any medication if it turns out I’m actually pregnant. Thanks.🙂

And seriously, find a new doctor!
It hurts like hell, honestly. But the ER won't take me if I'm seeing my regular doctor... My only choice is to wait until tonight, but I have to tough it out until then.😢If I don't end up in the hospital, I'll check back in.👍
Oh, I forgot to mention... I'm currently dealing with an e. coli infection. And a few years back, I had a really nasty bout of mono. My liver labs were a total disaster and my spleen was right on the edge of rupturing... just all that stuff. I can't help but wonder if this might be something similar again...
Last night, this unbearable pain hit my upper abdomen... at times it was so intense I could barely catch my breath. I really don't want to deal with anything serious. Should I just grab some over-the-counter meds, or is it time to see a doctor? Honestly, I have a "lovely" physician, so in the past, I probably would've popped ten pills before even thinking about stepping foot in her office 😢 Could this be something major, or am I just paying the price for a bad diet?

So, here’s how I see it... based on what I've been through...🙂So, I’ve been dealing with some irregular cycles, and my doctor put me on birth control to help manage things. Basically, my period would only show up once every couple of months, and when it finally did, it was absolutely brutal. First, I tried Logest. That was a disaster... I gained twenty pounds, and honestly, I'm still fighting to get them off. On the plus side, my cycle became predictable—it would start with a little ache and then wrap up in three days, which was great. But once I realized the weight gain was getting out of hand, I just stopped taking them. After being off them for a few months, my period completely vanished. And when it *did* decide to show up? It felt like I was being stabbed. So, I went back to Yasmin. With Yasmin, the weight hasn't been an issue at all. My only real side effect is some extra hair growth, but that's easy enough to deal with. Way easier than trying to sweat off twenty pounds... you just head to a salon and have it handled in fifteen minutes.🙂My cycle is pretty regular and painless... except for that middle of the month stretch where my nerves just snap. I end up snapping at everyone...🙂
