So, I went to see my gynecologist today because I’ve been dealing with some pretty heavy bleeding right in the middle of my Yaz packs for the last four months. She ended up giving me a prescription for Logest, but she told me I shouldn't just switch immediately; instead, I should wait until I finish my current cycle and start the Logest on the very first day of my next pack—basically, the day I would have started a new box of Yaz.
Honestly, though, I’m feeling so incredibly confused because what she said seems to contradict the actual instructions for Logest. According to the pamphlet, it says I’m supposed to start the new pills on the same day I would normally take the first inactive pill of my current pack. So, the doctor is telling me one thing, but the official directions are saying something completely different 😢 What on earth am I supposed to do?

I’ve been on this for about three months now, so I’m just finishing up my third pack.
And I have a bit of a question... 🙂 With every single pack I've used, I end up getting bleeding right in the middle, usually around the 14th pill... and it isn't just some light spotting, either; it feels quite a lot like an actual period. It stays like that until the pack runs out, maybe tapering off a little toward the very end, and then just in time, I get my actual period when it's supposed to happen. In other words, I’m basically bleeding for at least 15 days every single month. -.-
Has anyone else ever dealt with something like this? 🙄

Exactly!

I know exactly what kind of protective parents we're talking about here. If my own folks found out I was even seeing a doctor for reproductive health, or heaven forbid, that I've been seeing my boyfriend for a whole year now, they would absolutely lose their minds. To my mom, birth control is just some dangerous thing that ruins women for life; she can't even remember the last time she visited her own OB-GYN. In her eyes, you shouldn't be having sex until you're married, and you shouldn't even think about marriage until after you've finished college. That’s the rule, plain and simple. There is zero room for debate. 😂

Most of my friends only ended up getting a prescription for birth control from their OB-GYN once they actually brought it up themselves; the doctors didn't even bother suggesting blood work or anything similar in the first place. In my case, though, mine actually asked if I was interested, so I just said yes.
It really goes to show that in certain situations, even medical professionals might decide that running blood tests is just unnecessary...🙄

I once got one of those little cardboard sleeves with mine—they were just big enough to fit everything inside, and since there was nothing written on the outside, you could tuck it anywhere, whether it's in your purse, your makeup bag, or even a pencil case.

Well, they fit perfectly fine in my wallet. Honestly, if they happen to see them, what am I supposed to do?
The other day I was digging through my wallet looking for cash and couldn't find it, so maybe they won't find them either.
If there's one thing I can say, it's that having parents that strict just isn't easy. I spend every single weekend over at my boyfriend's place, and of course, they never have a clue I was even there, because they forbid me from going and things like that... without any actual reasoning, naturally.
And oh, I finally got my prescription; I need to start taking them this week, so hopefully, I won't be turning into an old man or woman anytime soon. 🙄

So, here’s the thing...
I went to see my gynecologist the other day because I wanted to ask about starting birth control pills, and she sent me off for some routine blood work and everything else, you know? Well, I just picked up my results, and I noticed that my HDL cholesterol and glucose levels are both coming in higher than they should be. Could there possibly be a connection between those numbers and the pills? Does anyone know if that could actually be an issue?😕

but I'm just saying that I try to be discreet when I leave, maybe heading out right at the end of the workday or something... honestly. 🙄

Hmm... I actually have a mother like that too.
She won't let me deal with my own sex life, so whenever I need to see my OB-GYN or something similar, it becomes an issue. So yeah, I end up doing both—living my life while navigating all that.
I literally have to lie to my parents and tell them I'm just grabbing coffee with a friend, when in reality, I’m sitting in a waiting room at the doctor's office for three hours. 🤣🤣
I really need to start on birth control this month. I can't wait until she finally tracks down the prescription; I know there's going to be absolute chaos in the house once she finds it. 🤣🤣
