Hormonal Contraception: The Pill [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
shadowfox49 said:Not really. I’m usually pretty chill (well, except for when PMS hits). 😍
Here, today’s been fine, but yesterday was just awful (and that was only for a few hours in the afternoon 😕).

Just a few hours in the afternoon? Hmm... I mean, it probably depends on exactly when you’re feeling it. Like, maybe that’s just when your hormone levels are hitting their lowest point, or maybe they're peaking—who knows, right? Biology is such a weird roller coaster sometimes. But seriously, you should definitely go see Dr. Miller at the Mayo Clinic, or honestly, even just hit up your regular family doctor at CVS. A GP might actually be able to connect the dots, especially if there are other health things you've been dealing with lately. It’s always better to get a professional to look at the whole picture instead of just guessing!
OB/GYN recommendations in Pittsburgh in Women's Health ·
Melissa Sanchez48 said:Can anyone recommend a solid gynecologist (and I mean LIKE, actually amazing) in Pittsburgh? If you're talking private practice, what kind of prices are we looking at and all that stuff...

Oh boy...
Honestly, I’ve always found the women doctors to be the best...
Like, Filomena Tolich works over at the clinic near the Blue Field area—she’s young, totally down-to-earth, and really good. Though, I think her books might be closed to new patients right now.
But hey, if you end up needing actual surgery or something major, just head over to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester.

So, I just switched from my birth control to these hormone patches, and oh my god, my breasts are hurting like crazy (honestly, they were always pretty sore right in the middle of my cycle anyway)
But now I’m sitting here wondering—since I made the switch to the patches—is it actually possible that they're growing again? Like, is that even a thing?

So, quick question for the group—has anyone here actually used pliers before?
I’m thinking about making the switch to them once I’m done with the tweezers, but I’m low-key stressing. Like, is my face going to be totally fine, or am I gonna end up with a mess? I seriously just barely managed to get rid of my last breakout/blemish, and I don't want to ruin everything by being too aggressive. Any advice?

So, quick question: this is my first time on the pill (though I’m taking it irregularly), and I’m currently in that 7-day break—two days in already. So... is THIS finally when the period is supposed to show up? Is this normal?
Does it usually take a day or so? How does this work? I have zero clue—I read the manual, but man, it might as well be written in Chinese... nothing is clearly stated.

And the cramps are EXACTLY the same as a regular period... except there's no bleeding... ugh... when will this become "normal"?😢(PLEASE ADVISE

For example, with me, the last day I take them is Wednesday, then my period hits on Sunday. And sometimes, when I start the next pack, I’m still bleeding. It’s all totally standard stuff... I mean, you should basically get it sometime during those 7 days off. Once you hit that first cycle with the pills, you'll eventually figure out the pattern—like, "Okay, I always get it every fourth Saturday or Sunday," or whatever.

So here’s the deal: I’ve been on Cileste, but I’m planning to make the switch over to Flaster, mostly because these pills are absolutely wrecking my stomach. Total nightmare.
What I really need to figure out is this:
My gynecologist told me (assuming I caught everything she said right) that I should start the new ones on the day I would’ve normally started my next pack of Cileste, right after my period ends. ???
But then I’m looking at the instructions, and they seem to say I should kick them off on the very first day of my period. ???
Honestly, what the doctor said makes way more sense to me, because I have zero clue how you’re supposed to jump from one hormone to another without any kind of break in between.
And there is just no way I can afford to take a break, even if I wanted to. I’ve dealt with an endometriotic cyst before, so I’m staying on hormones strictly to make sure that thing doesn't decide to show up again.
