Yeah, I guess we're talking about the magnetic head and the neck area here.

Dear fellow forum members,

Does anyone happen to know where I can book an MRI privately to avoid the wait times?
It’s getting pretty urgent for me, and at the local hospitals... well, I guess we're looking at a three-month wait.

So, quick question: this is my first time on the pill (though I’m taking it irregularly), and I’m currently in that 7-day break—two days in already. So... is THIS finally when the period is supposed to show up? Is this normal?
Does it usually take a day or so? How does this work? I have zero clue—I read the manual, but man, it might as well be written in Chinese... nothing is clearly stated.

And the cramps are EXACTLY the same as a regular period... except there's no bleeding... ugh... when will this become "normal"?😢(PLEASE ADVISE

Honey, you'll probably get your period around day 3 or 4 of the break. That's how it works for me—I stop taking them on Tuesday, and it hits by Friday. I also get those lower abdominal pains, and sometimes my lower back hurts too. It's all part of PMS, even though people claim birth control makes PMS almost nonexistent.
For me, the cramps used to be insane before I started the pill—like, I'd pass out or throw up. Now, they're pretty mild and manageable. Sometimes by the third day of the break, I just take an Advil so everything goes a bit smoother.

It’s true. Cellulite shows up in places you wouldn't expect, too—like on your calves, your upper arms, or just stubborn patches in those "strategic" areas.
Regarding that stubborn stuff, I tried cavitation once. I guess I could say it works, but honestly, it only seems to make a difference if you go through with consecutive treatments.

Unfortunately, I haven't noticed any change at all, even though I've been on Yasmin for a few years now.😢

Anthony Morales5,
I think you might have me confused with someone else. I'm not at Yasmin's, if that's what you're asking. I guess I don't really know who that is, anyway. Maybe I am, maybe I'm not. Hard to say.
How’s it going with the scale? I guess you've been gaining weight, or maybe losing it... or perhaps it's just water retention? Maybe.
When I first started taking Triquilar, I noticed this sudden weight gain. It was weird, though—not like regular fat, more like a doughy, bloated feeling. I guess it might have just been water retention, maybe, but...😍After using this for maybe four or five months, I guess my weight finally went back to where it usually is.

It’s also possible, I suppose, to prescribe more or less appropriate contraceptives based on blood work—since you can actually see hormone levels in there—because, well, not everyone has the same levels or proportions of specific hormones.🤷

Thanks a lot 🙂

I’m pretty certain that getting blood tests done before starting hormone therapy—and let's be real, birth control pills definitely count as that—is absolutely necessary. It’s just common sense, I guess. You wouldn't want to put those kinds of drugs into a body that might have issues with liver enzymes, or maybe some clotting factor problems, or even just weird fluctuations in blood cell counts, whether it's the number of cells or just how they behave qualitatively.
So, yeah. It's necessary.

I’ve been on Triquilara for three years now, and my doctor hasn't even mentioned taking a break yet

Well, mine told me to take a one-month break after the first six months (though I think that was pretty pointless since I didn't even get my period then), so I just kept taking it immediately.
It’s been three years now and I haven't stopped. My liver tests have been fine, mostly because I’ve been proactive about getting blood work done... actually, my doctor suggested I stay on top of it.
Maybe eventually I’ll switch over to something from a newer generation, like Yasmin.

Hey, what do you guys think about taking a break after using Triquilara for a few months? I mean, does anyone here actually have experience with this?
