Hormonal Contraception: The Pill [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
Thanks. So, I pretty much wrapped up my Logest pack on Tuesday, and today I started getting this brownish discharge—should that be my period starting? Last one was back on September 23rd.😕

Hey everyone. Quick question—does the effectiveness of birth control pills take a hit if I’m running about 45 minutes to an hour late with my dose? Usually, I take mine at 4:15 PM, but a few times lately, things have gotten busy and I didn't get around to it until 5:00. 🤷
I accidentally tossed the instructions in the trash earlier. 😬
Thanks!

Hey there.
I’ve been taking Logest for about 7 days now and haven't really felt much—no side effects worth mentioning. Just a tiny bit of nausea right after that first pill, but nothing else. Quick question though—I drink kombucha tea (from the mushroom) quite often, and I was wondering if that actually interferes with how the pills work?🤷
Stomach issues – any advice? in Health ·
silvercobra68 said:Exactly—gut flora isn't just some isolated thing happening in your intestines; it affects the entire digestive tract, starting right from the moment you take a bite. A massive chunk of digestion actually happens in the gut, so if your microbiome is out of whack, everything slows down. Then the stomach ends up having to pick up the slack and work overtime to process everything.

Well, that’s a relief. 😁
I just hope eating yogurt and cheese doesn't trigger a bout of diarrhea. 🤣
I was honestly getting a little spooked—I've been scrolling through this forum reading endless threads about H. pylori, gastritis, intestinal issues... I basically ignored all of it because I wasn't feeling any pain, but it was still weighing on me. Thanks a million!🙂

What kind of snake oil am I dealing with here? 😕

As for those other issues, honestly, just stick to yogurt, cheese—basically anything fermented—to help get your gut flora back in shape.

I’m assuming you actually know what gut flora is...

I know, 😁
Is that why my stomach is constantly acting up?
Some total scammer suggested this for the cyst 🙄 but there wasn't even any inflammation—she just claimed it would make the cyst vanish.

Amanda Doyle74 said:I usually just handle mine with Pepto-Bismol—not all at once, obviously, but spread out over a few days. That usually does the trick.

But I already mentioned my stomach doesn't actually hurt. It’s not burning or anything like that.
Man, I probably took that Sumameds for no reason either—my doctor prescribed them because of some cyst on my throat 🙄 which the ENT basically told me was totally normal, then just gave me some gargle to deal with it. I popped three Sumameds about two months ago 🤷 so maybe that's what did it. My symptoms weren't even acting up back then...
Then there's the diet 😢—is that really it? Nothing else besides that? I tried taking some Pepto-Bismol, but honestly, I didn't feel much of a difference.🤷

Thanks a ton!
I'm going to start following that diet right away. I was taking some Augmentin recently—it’s possible that's what triggered this...🤷

If it’s the same issue popping up again, honestly, it sounds to me like you might be dealing with some kind of gut yeast overgrowth—not that I’m a doctor or anything, so definitely don't take this as a medical diagnosis—but the fact that you had diarrhea, and then things flared right up after you ate something sweet, plus how heavy foods make you nauseous... all that bloating and feeling hungry constantly? It points in that direction.

... I went through something pretty much identical after a round of antibiotics. What finally helped me was sticking to a diet heavy on protein and veggies, cutting out sugar entirely, and taking a good probiotic...
There was supposed to be a thread about anti-fungal diets, and there are plenty of meal plans online for it. Maybe try following one for a few days and see if you feel better—if you do, you'll probably know what the culprit was...

But seriously, if this keeps dragging on for a few more days, just go see a doctor...

Thanks. But no, it can't just be "in my head."🤷
I only eat once or twice a day, usually just some meat and potatoes, and I eat quite a bit of tomatoes 😁 and maybe a sandwich. I don't know, maybe it's not the healthiest setup.😢
I'll give that diet you mentioned a shot and see how it goes, thanks so much!
It's driving me crazy, though—when my stomach starts making those loud noises, I can feel people staring at me.😕
I'm pretty sure it isn't gastritis or anything like that, because if it were, my stomach would be burning or aching. I'm just glad someone else has dealt with something similar.🙂
By the way, I can't seem to find that specific meal plan anywhere, so if you could share it... I'd really appreciate it.

Well, here we go again 🙄
I’m hoping someone out there might have some insight...
My stomach is absolutely wrecking me. It’s hard to even call it "pain"—it’s more like this relentless, gnawing hunger that won't quit, paired with all this constant gurgling and churning—honestly, it feels like things are just exploding inside my gut. 🙄
Then there’s the constant burping and gas—not the loud or smelly kind, thankfully, but it just won't stop. 🤣
As for bathroom trips, it's all over the place. Sometimes nothing happens, sometimes it's frequent... the day before yesterday was barely anything, yesterday was a total washout, and today I finally had a normal movement, though I dealt with some pretty intense cramping beforehand.
That sensation in my stomach is just constant, and it's making it impossible to focus on anything else. 😢 It’s actually loud enough to be embarrassing, too—even right after I eat. My abdomen feels tender to the touch, as well. I really don't know what's going on; this weird combination of feeling completely empty and incredibly bloated at the exact same time is just miserable. 😢
Does anyone have any advice or maybe a similar experience they could share?

Is it too early to start on birth control at 15—like, basically turning 16 soon? 😕
I guess I'm just wondering if starting this young could actually mess anything up...🤷

Helou!
So, here’s the deal—this is what I’m dealing with right now...
It started with these brutal cramps in my lower abdomen, followed by nonstop diarrhea regardless of what I managed to eat. 🙄 I went to see my doctor, and they basically just brushed it off as some kind of stomach flu—told me to stick to plain toast and water for a day and that I'd be fine.
So, I did exactly that. The diarrhea eventually let up, but then the stomach issues kicked in, and they aren't any better. 😢
Honestly, I feel like I'm reaching my breaking point. 😠 Everything I eat makes me feel sick; I'm constantly bloated and getting these endless bouts of burping. It feels like acid reflux is constantly creeping up into my throat. 🙄 The nausea is absolutely draining, and there’s this constant "churning" sensation in my gut. Since I've been craving sweets, I tried having a little Nutella on toast, but that just triggered the old diarrhea again—the same kind with those intense cramps. 😢 But the nausea, the bloating, and that heavy, sinking feeling I get every time I swallow something... it’s just killing me. 👎 It puts me in such a terrible mood, too. I don't even want to leave the house because I'm either nauseous or just constantly scanning the room for the nearest restroom. 👎
I’m torn on whether I should head back to the doctor—I'm terrified they'll just send me home again with more instructions to fast or eat bland food... 🙄
Has anyone else gone through something similar?
