I was watching the game last night and honestly, I had to turn it off halfway through. There is something about those super tight, low-scoring matchups that just drains my battery. I used to love the tension, but lately, it feels like I'm just sitting there for three hours waiting for a single moment that might not even happen.
It’s like the difference between a high-energy thriller and a slow-burn indie movie. One is exciting because of the momentum, and the other is just... exhausting. I find myself checking my phone or looking at the kitchen much more often during these kinds of matchups because the "action" is so sparse. I know purists love the tactical battle, but for a casual fan, it can feel like a massive time sink if the offense just can't find a rhythm.
Does anyone else feel like the "entertainment value" of a game has shifted? Do you prefer these gritty, defensive battles, or do you need more scoring to actually stay engaged?
Hello,
I’m looking for some recommendations for a private endocrinologist over in Seattle.
So, I’ve run into a bit of a situation... I’ve been on Logest for quite some time now, and I just finished the very last pill in my pack today. Shortly after taking it, I experienced some loose stools—nothing I would call full-blown diarrhea, per se, but certainly not normal either. The package insert specifically mentions "severe diarrhea" as a concern, which wouldn't bother me much if it were true, but it also emphasizes that missing that final pill is particularly risky. So, where does that leave me?
According to the instructions, if you miss a pill during week three, you can either keep going without a break or just jump straight into the placebo interval. Since I haven't picked up my next box yet, I'm leaning toward the second option. If I go that route, would I need to start the new pack a day earlier than usual—considering today's pill might not technically "count" due to how my system reacted?
Or, is it possible to just ignore the whole thing since it wasn't a severe case of diarrhea? I'm a little stuck on what the threshold for "severe" actually implies in this context... 😁
And for context, I've been taking Logest consistently for about five years now, and everything has been perfectly fine until today.
So, I'm currently taking Logest—and right now, I’m also on a course of Amoxicillin. It completely slipped my mind to ask the pharmacist about how these two play together, though the fine print in the instructions mentions that Amoxicillin might lower the effectiveness of oral contraceptives... suggesting a different method of birth control during treatment.
Does that mean I can just take my pills as usual and simply use some extra protection while I'm finishing this antibiotic course?
What do you all think—is it actually okay to take the pill a few hours earlier than usual? The instructions are a complete mess of conflicting explanations regarding late doses, but what I really want to know is if anything catastrophic happens if I just take it 3 or 4 hours ahead of schedule for a single day...
A quick question for those ladies who head over to Canada to pick up their prescriptions: When you actually walk into the pharmacy there—do you find yourselves having to justify your presence or offer some sort of awkward explanation as to why you're buying them there—or is it a simple matter of just handing over the script and calling it a day?

Well, if we're being technical about it... it's been a two-year cold at this point... 😁
Has anyone else ever experienced a slight rise in body temperature after starting birth control? I’ve been taking Logest, and I noticed—roughly around the same time I started the regimen—that my temperature has been hovering around 74.5°F. It isn't anything extreme, and I don't feel particularly under the weather, but it is enough to make me a bit uneasy... The package insert doesn't mention elevated temperature as a potential side effect, so perhaps there isn't even a connection to the pills, but I did start tracking my temperature more consistently over the last few months, and during my break, it does dip back down to just under 98.6°F.
I went ahead and had some blood work done, and everything came back perfectly normal.

I have a question I’d like to pose, almost like a little informal survey for the group. I truly hope many of you will feel inclined to weigh in. 🙂
What I’m wondering is whether you find birth control pills to be sufficient protection on their own. Do you supplement them with other forms of contraception, or perhaps just rely on the withdrawal method?
The reason this is weighing on my mind is that I frequently find myself spiraling into anxiety about pregnancy, even though I’ve been on the pill for months—even years, actually. This month, I had a bit of a crisis; I ended up with a stomach bug and was vomiting about two hours after taking my pill, and I wasn't quick enough to realize I needed to take another dose immediately. Fortunately, my period arrived and everything seems fine, but it has left me questioning if relying solely on the pill is a gamble I shouldn't be taking.
I am well aware that no contraceptive is a hundred percent foolproof, but I am genuinely curious how the rest of you handle things. If you use extra precautions, what are they? And more importantly, do you deal with that same gnawing dread, waiting for your cycle to arrive with your heart in your throat?
Historically, I’ve always used secondary methods alongside the pill, but as I spent time reading through your posts here, I started to wonder if I was being overly cautious. Now, looking back, I suspect my old instincts were actually the wiser ones. 🙂
Please, do share your thoughts and advice, as I am incredibly eager to hear your perspectives!
Personally, I don't bother with any extra protection—not even pulling out... To me, that would defeat the whole purpose of the pill; I take them specifically so I can be carefree and actually enjoy sex without having to run a mental checklist of contraceptive risks in the moment. I know they aren't perfect, but let's face it—the only thing more reliable than the pill is abstinence. 😛 Since I stay strictly on schedule, I don't see much reason to stress. 🙂
So, I’m currently on birth control, but I didn't manage to get my appointment scheduled with my gynecologist quickly enough—and since I'm entering month one, I’m going to need a new prescription. It’s actually been a full year since my last check-up, so she can't just call in a refill without doing a proper exam first. Honestly, I can handle skipping the pills for a bit, but what’s really weighing on me is the fear that my cycle is going to go completely haywire once I stop taking them. I have an appointment booked for month two, and I’m terrified that my period will decide to drag on indefinitely or cause some other drama that makes it impossible to make it to that follow-up. I was wondering if there are any specific supplements or tablets meant strictly for regulating your cycle? I feel like I read somewhere on a forum that you could find something similar at a CVS or Walgreens... if anyone has any insight, I’d truly appreciate it...

Apparently, an antibiotic needs about another week to fully clear out of your system—though I’ve heard some doctors suggest keeping up with protection until you've finished the entire pack 🤷... just to be safe, I suppose.
Thanks 🙂...
I’ve been taking Logest, and now I’m having to deal with Klavax—because life, apparently, isn't easy enough. According to the instructions (and my pharmacist was quite insistent about this too), I need to use extra protection... however, I didn't think to ask whether they mean strictly during the window when I'm actually on the antibiotic, or if I need to remain cautious for a while afterward until the medication has completely cleared my system?
I suppose I should address the elephant in the room—though, given the current state of things, the elephant might be more coherent than most of the discourse here... If we are going to engage in this particular brand of digital theater, can we at least aim for a modicum of decorum? It’s exhausting, really—trying to maintain a sense of order when everyone seems intent on shouting into the void without a second thought. I’ve been watching the threads unfold—slowly, of course—and it strikes me that we are all just performing for an audience that isn't even listening. It’s a bit tragic, isn't it? All this energy spent on trivialities... as if the world actually cares about our collective indignation. Not that I’m judging—I certainly have my own flaws to contend with—but there is a certain predictable rhythm to these arguments that feels almost... rehearsed. Anyway, I shall remain here, observing from the sidelines with my usual level of skepticism. Don't mind me... I'm just waiting for something actually worth the effort... kaže:
Are you absolutely certain they aren't away on vacation...? 😬
It’s been three—or maybe four, I can't quite recall exactly—weeks now that I've been grinding away at this, trying to pull it off... and honestly, I'm starting to lose my disbelief. 😁
Thanks, Daniel Lopez—I’m really hoping it works out that way, because trying to pull this up on my phone is an absolute nightmare...
Hmm, I’m curious about this six-month window mentioned on the prescription I received for my pills—I'm currently on Logest—and whether it actually means I can pick up six boxes before needing a new script, or if I could technically grab a seventh if I buy it before that date expires... I'm asking because I have this nagging feeling I won't be able to snag an appointment with my gynecologist fast enough to get a refill, and honestly, I'm starting to panic a little bit.😲
