I feel like teams are getting way too obsessed with grabbing teenagers just because they have "potential." Sometimes you just need a seasoned veteran who actually knows how to hold the line right now, you know? Do you guys prefer seeing a club build for the future or fix their holes immediately?

Hormonal Contraception: The Pill [General Discussion]
in Women's Health ·
If I had sex on Sunday, can I just stop taking my pills on Thursday? Does that mean I wouldn't need to buy a new pack?
Also, I'm wondering if anything happens if you have sex and then stop the pills the very next day (assuming you've been on them for a while)?

Can anyone tell me which pills have the lowest hormone levels?
I'm taking Yaz, and I know it's low dose, but are there any options out there with even less?

Does anyone know if drinking herbal tea affects how Yaz works? I assume not, but I don't want to take any chances.

Thanks so much for the help! I’m just going to keep sipping these one by one, including those four white ones. 🙂 The instructions have me a bit confused since they say to take the second pill from a backup blister pack. It seems logical that I can just stick to the pink tablets for all 24 days regardless. My protection won't be compromised by doing that, right?

Hey everyone, does anyone know what I should do if I accidentally took two (YAZ) pills in one day to deal with some stomach issues? Does this mean I need to take one less pill later—like 23 days instead of 24—or should I just buy a new pack and take one pink pill from there?

I honestly think it’s just stress rather than the medication itself. Still, I wanted to ask because if side effects can happen this early, I’m a little worried about what might show up later on. 😛
Thanks 😍
Thanks 😍

Has anyone else experienced side effects right after taking their first pill? I was just sitting here quietly when my left arm suddenly started aching. I could blame it on stress, but it’s never happened before, so I figured I’d ask since I’m new to this. 🙂

Hey, just curious, what time do you guys usually take your pills?

So, from what I've gathered, you're supposed to start birth control on the first day of your period to get immediate protection. Well, I was planning to pick up my pills tomorrow since my period wasn't due until Tuesday, but it actually just started right now. Should I count tomorrow as the first day since it arrived this evening, or should I count today instead?
Thanks🙂
Thanks🙂

Two quick questions:
Regarding weight gain from the pill—does it happen because the medication spikes your appetite and you end up eating more, or do the hormones themselves cause direct weight gain?
Second thing, I’m planning to go get my birth control prescription this Monday. It’s my first time, and I don't want to wait until next month, but there's a chance my period might actually start this Monday. Will my gynecologist be willing to write a prescription without an exam if I happen to be on my period? From what I've read, you usually start taking them on the first day of your cycle. I’ll bring my blood work results, and I'll ask the doctor about any other requirements when I go in for the referral.
