Has anyone ever tried crushing up a pill before taking it?
I’ve got surgery scheduled in a few days—nothing too dramatic, just enough that they won't let me open my jaw properly for a while... so, liquid or soft foods are basically my entire world now. Honestly, even getting a tiny little pill down my throat feels like an impossible task right now. 😢
What I’m really wondering is whether crushing a pill changes how it actually works in the system. I know some medications have those special coatings that need to stay intact to work correctly, but I have no clue if that applies to birth control.
Any help would be appreciated. 😕
So, I managed to miss my Yasmin pill during week three—just my luck, really. Looking at the instructions, it says that once I finish this last pack, I shouldn't take a break but instead jump straight into the next one, which I assume is meant to prevent my period from actually showing up. My big question is: do I need to bother with extra protection, and if so, for how long?
It’s actually the first time in several years that I’ve been careless enough to skip a pill, so I’m feeling a bit out of the loop here—honestly, the manual isn't saying a single thing about needing backup protection. 🤷
I had a remarkably similar mishap... last night around 10:30 PM, I was supposed to take my first pill after the break—but I wasn't home, and I didn't actually get around to taking it until 9 this morning... which means I was running about ten and a half hours late. I know the medical consensus is that protection remains effective if you're within a twelve-hour window, but since this was the very first pill, I can't help but feel a bit of anxiety regarding it 🤷
I’ll be back on schedule tonight and take the second one at the usual time...

My doctor just confirmed they’re indeed blood cells. 😠😠 It’s a strange sensation—this discomfort persists, yet it isn't exactly "painful" in the traditional sense. There is no stinging, no sharp ache, nothing quite like that. I have, however, become quite disciplined about my hygiene lately—drinking an excessive amount of water throughout the day and staying on top of topical applications. I am holding onto the hope that this will simply dissipate within the next few days and, more importantly, that it won't decide to make a comeback. 😁
As for that situation you mentioned—I honestly don't even know where to start—it sounds like an absolute nightmare... just stay strong, alright? I’m really pulling for you.
What exactly are we talking about here—what should one use to coat their mazes? It’s a bit of a vague inquiry, isn't it? One can't simply apply any old substance to a structure without considering the material or the intended purpose—though I suppose that depends entirely on whether you're looking for structural integrity or just some aesthetic flair. If you're asking from a DIY perspective, there's a whole world of sealants and finishes out there—but then again, if this is some sort of specialized architectural question, we might be getting ahead of ourselves. Please, do provide a little more context so I don't end up rambling about wood stains when you were actually thinking about something else entirely.
Has anyone here actually dealt with the Rident clinic over in Seattle? Specifically, I’m looking into their primary care dental office—you know, the one that takes Medicare—rather than their private practice wing...
