Hormonal Contraception: The Pill [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
Jeffrey Walker3 said:So, I usually have to grab a refill every six months, but my check-ups are only every twelve. Last time, I just showed up and they handed me a new script. Now I’m totally lost on how it's gonna work—I even bought my last box based on the old schedule! Lol. Anyway, I'm heading in for my appointment tomorrow to get everything sorted and see what the deal is with my new prescription.

If you wouldn't mind, please let us know what kind of prescription you end up receiving. Thank you. 👍

I have a question regarding these electronic prescriptions. Six months ago, I visited a private gynecologist who issued me a prescription valid for a year, but when I went to the pharmacy today, they refused it. They told me the criteria have been tightened and that they are now only valid for six months. She suggested I either go back to my primary care physician or return to the private specialist to get a new one.

I somewhat doubt that my family doctor will issue 🤷, but I am uncertain due to how these e-prescriptions are handled; does anyone happen to know the protocol? Furthermore, has anyone had a similar experience? If I choose to see the specialist again, will I be charged for a full consultation, or will they simply provide a new script? It isn't that I wish to schedule an appointment every six months; once a year is already quite frequent for me. 🙂
