Help, please! I’ve just finished my fourth pack of birth control. Over the last five or six years, I’ve started experiencing this really strange bleeding—sort of these odd brown or black colored discharges. I took the entire pack as directed, and I was supposed to start my period this past Thursday. But absolutely NOTHING happened. I'm still just getting these little drops of black discharge. I am honestly starting to panic... I take my pills strictly on schedule, so I have no idea why this is happening all of a sudden. Toward the end of my first three packs, I did have some bleeding, but it was never like this. Now I’m just freaking out...
I’m currently taking Belara, and I just finished my third box. They're alright, I guess... I haven't really dealt with any major side effects, except for some cellulite... My skin feels smooth, and it seems like my hair grows back slower now. The only thing is that I bleed a little here and there... maybe it'll stop eventually, who knows. But honestly, the biggest issue is all in my head... I just absolutely cannot bring myself to decide or let my boyfriend do it "inside." I have this nagging fear stuck in my brain that I'll end up being part of that 1% where things go wrong... Ugh... 🤷
Hey everyone, I have a question... I'm 27 now. Around age 20—mostly because my cycles were a total mess—I started taking Yasmin for birth control. I only lasted three months before quitting because they made me vomit constantly. After that, I switched to Triquilar, which was actually FANTASTIC for about a year. However, once that year passed, my breasts started hurting incredibly, incredibly, incredibly badly for no apparent reason; it got to the point where even wearing a bra was painful, let alone touching them. I stopped the pills then and didn't take anything for five years. Now, I've decided to go back on the pill because my cycle is still pure chaos (it always has been). I talked to my gynecologist about everything before he prescribed Belara. I mentioned the breast issues I had on Triquilar, and he told me it’s called "mastodynia" or something like that. He said the pills can cause it. I'm currently on my second pack of Belara, and I haven't had any major side effects except that I'm feeling that exact same breast pain again. My breasts feel extremely sore, heavy, and swollen. I know this is supposed to be an adjustment phase, but the pain feels much different than it did during the first pack. I'm honestly terrified that I'll have to quit these pills too if this keeps up, because I really, truly do not want to go through that again. Has anyone else dealt with something similar?
