Hey, there's really no need to generalize everything 🙂 I truly believe there are plenty of women out there who find Qlaira works perfectly fine for them. Personally, I've been struggling with spotting for an incredibly long time. I have cycled through several different birth control pills, and not a single one has actually fixed the issue. Every medical test comes back normal, but unfortunately, my gynecologist doesn't have a solution for this specific problem. She originally thought the issue was related to estrogen levels, but our experience with Cerazzette proved that theory wrong. Now, I'm giving Qlaira a shot because it mimics a natural cycle and uses a different type of estrogen. I’m convinced there is a perfect pill out there for every woman; you just have to find it. 😉
Personally, my doctor gives me a prescription every six months. Usually, I just get a new one twice a year, but I can't handle taking everything at once, so I pick up one box every month. Maybe it’s an issue with how private prescriptions are handled? You should check in with fastrunner24 to find out. 🙂 Honestly, if you ask me, you shouldn't be taking Lindy every single month without a scheduled break... that's just not how these things are designed to work. You ought to have a conversation with Ginny B. 🙂
There’s a certain category of birth control pills designed to be taken continuously without any breaks... Qlaira falls into that camp. My specific prescription is a bit different because it consists solely of progesterone, so I take one every single day. I’ve been dealing with an overwhelming amount of spotting lately—something I’ve already vented about here before. We have cycled through quite a few different brands and types, yet the situation remains far from ideal...
I take Cerazette without those breaks too... there are 28 pills in every pack. And no, you can't just carry all the boxes at once... I tried doing exactly that when I was heading over to Ireland, but it didn't work out. My mom ends up mailing them to me every month via USPS.
That’s exactly right. Even my doctor confirmed that these breaks actually cause more damage than they prevent. Just when you finally get your rhythm down and start feeling organized, they hit you with another shock to the system...
I picked up some Adexa, it was about $80$30 per unit
Cerazette, mini pill, CCA $27.
Lindynette, CCA $12.
Qlaira, CCA $27.
These are the prices in America.
I get it, but you’re really throwing me for a loop with how you organize this... just when the body starts to adjust, you pull the plug. All these new ones have very low hormone levels, so there's no real need for any breaks—assuming that works for you, of course.
I neglected to mention that I was experiencing spotting even before the fibroids were diagnosed. Unfortunately, I’m not seeing any real relief from the mini-pill either, though perhaps it is still a bit premature to call it quits on this treatment...
Hey everyone. Is anyone else here dealing with chronic spotting 😁?
I’ve cycled through Lindynette 20 (for 6 months), Lindynette 30 (for 7 months), and Adexa (for 6 months), and now I’ve moved on to Cerazette... I’m 25, and my gynecologist actually tried to steer me away from Cerazette because she’s concerned the estrogen levels might be the culprit, but we decided to give it a shot anyway. I’ve been on them for eight days now, and this constant, annoying leakage just won't quit 😢. Before this, Adexa was giving me grief for an entire month... so realistically, I’ve been swallowing these pills for two months straight. My bloodwork and hormone panels are perfect, but we did find a small uterine fibroid, which was another reason we pivoted to Cerazette. How are you all managing the spotting? To be honest, it’s driving me insane... I feel foolish, dirty, messy, and just plain gross 😁. It kills my libido because I don't feel attractive or clean, and I have zero desire to be intimate. My partner doesn't seem to mind, but I am at my absolute wits' end. It feels like there is something in my underwear every single day; I hate it with everything in me and just want this to stop. I haven't had any other side effects 😁.
